    Right..... so that's why there were real estate crises worldwide? Are you claiming the US government caused the real estate crisis in Spain? How in the word did this get modded insightful? (Also note the vast majority of failed mortgages were totally private party and had nothing to do with the FHA or govt)

    Atheism has nothing to do with Stalin's murderous ways. In fact the entire argument is silly..... the original poster mentioned "atheist values". Those don't exist. An atheist doesn't believe in god.. that's it. Other than that an atheist could hold any views. Atheism is a not a set of beliefs and is not similar to an organized religion

    The govt gave me about 20,000 in loans plus I had in state tuition at a "Public Ivy" University. With my BS in computer engineering I now pay well in excess of 20,000 in taxes every year

    Um.... Apparently my high school experience was different from yours. I had mastered Advanced Calculus and physics and already had a decent grasp of programming. AP classes are awesome.

    The problem is that there is no easy way to deal with non-commercial piracy. There will always be costs and trade-offs of doing so. How much of your freedom are you willing to surrender in order to stop these "pirates". Are you willing to have your internet connection monitored? Are you willing to have all computer use monitored? Are you willing to send 14 year olds to jail for copying music?

    Yes and the world is black and white and it's very easy to tell good guys from bad guys. For some reason it's hard to see my govt as the "good guys" now that I've found they tortured innocent people at Gitmo

    No YOU are the making the assumption that the "target list" only contains people who should be on there.... That's what the entire lawsuit is about. Since this entire iraq/afghan disaster started 10s and possibly 100s of thousands of innocent people have died. Shedding some light on how decisions to kill people are made shouldn't be a problem for anyone

    Oh please... your interpretation of the 2nd amendment is absurd. It would mean that anyone should be able to own a tank or a nuclear missile. Clearly the term "militia" was inserted for a reason

    What is it with this site? +5? Ok, you are certainly correct about the rights of CITIZENS... but you are WAY wrong when it comes to legal entities like corporations. Corporations are NOT natural entities like people and are nothing more than legal constructs... they have NO natural rights outside of those granted by the government. Please go back to high school and review your civics

    Atheism isn't a motivation for anything. It's not a philosophy or a belief system or anything remotely comparable to a religion Atheist simply don't believe in god or god(s)... that's it. Now there are a few atheists who believe "there is no god"... which is strong atheism... which to my mind is a bit extreme and does require a bit of faith Most atheists are "weak atheists" who simply don't believe in god/god(s)... There is a subtle, yet important difference between the two
