Would you really want a crowbar? Without a rubber handle, it would hurt your hands like hell when smashing someone's head in.

Maybe a claw hammer would be better? You'd have a two-part choice on damage too.

Me? I just prefer running people over in my car. And why is it called 'running over'? Most of the time they bounce off the bonnet.

I looked into this when my daughter's school wanted to introduce thumb prints at the school's library. It turns out that only a key points of the print are stored, not the actual image. These points are hashed and stored. Many systems use the same hash.

People don't forget. Some wish they could but early digital images still haunt them.

It all started 20 years ago at the local secondary school. In the corner of a classroom stood a tripod; a camcorder firmly fixed to the top. The sign merely said "DO NOT TOUCH". Snaking its way across the floor was a wire; a wire whose only job was to carry the sinister image to the machine people called BBC Micro. The monitor showed something familiar, an image of a young girl. A young girl who took everyone's fancy until that very day.

    Her face was magenta. Maaaaaa-gen-ta!

    Not strictly true.

Swindon was the first town in the UK to be cabled. This was done by Swindon Cable.

Virgin do not install cables in new-build houses in Swindon. It has some people pulling their hair out.

STOP CALLING US BRITAIN! If you are trying to reduce keystrokes, call us The UK. Bloody foreigners. British people are from the UK, not "Britain". No one says Britain here.
