You'd need a 100 clones and a 100 cloned parents to raise them with strict guidelines. Behaviors to an extent are passed down genetically and wired into the brain during embryonic development (only explanation for the behaviors displayed after birth. Especially apparent in insect and other lower order animals)
I have a friend who grew up without ever meeting his father. The first time they got together they realized they had the exactly the same laugh to the point where his wife was in the other room and mistook his father laughter for my friends.
In any event I'm totally down with this experiment as being exposed as a child to many of these things... basically I'm looking for something else to blame for my behavior;-) (American way baby...)
How many people here where actually affected by the D-Trace bug in OS X. I'd be willing to lay down 100 bucks that say 90% of the people that complained had no idea the bug was there until the story was posted... including you. So why get so high and mighty about something doesn't even change your day to day activities. Seriously I own a Mac and I write software on it from time to time but does some missing functionality in D-Trace make a difference NO!
Its just another reason for D-Bags like you to make a stink.
They just buy them from other parts manufactures. I'm sure there are other systems that use the drives and have the same problem its just happens to be in an apple product so people start pointing out its evil apple and their non-compliant drives.
And what other standards does apple not comply with that is keeping you from buying a Mac?
the rocket scientist weren't allowed to do there jobs before smart ass.

Raise the stock price on false hopes and made up information. Wait for it to hit a peak.... sell for big profit. Hop of the ride before it goes down in flames.
Yes I'm sure it saved countless minutes of some would be hacker. Come on its java code with the debug statements turned on. If your smart enough to write it your smart enough to decompile someone else's code and copy it.
I don't disagree I just wonder what kind of effect this will have on the whole stupid black out games that they do in certain markets.
Personally I'd like to be able to watch sporting events with the local broadcasters national ones are usually biased or stupid and a fair amount of the time both!
I've been doing a fair amount of coding in a VM which is setup to use 2 CPU's, add that to a couple VNC connections,Web browser, Visual Studio and a couple other Apps and it starts adding up.
But I do agree if you say want to encode a season of a particular series its nice to know you can get it done in under a day.
Dual core alone makes a difference for the average user.... yes web browsing is single threaded but you aren't. If they are doing anything CPU intensive (media encoding/ITunes... what have you:) it can render a single core system unresponsive where with a dual core system you don't even really notice.
Personally I have a quad core setup (2 opteron 265's) and it's routinely up over 50% (not doing media encoding).
I'm not even disagreeing that they should go away. All I'm saying is that one person pirating a copy of adobe is a civil matter which is what we where talking about.
And as for how many jails would I like to build... none but if we took drinking and driving seriously in the US then far fewer people would commit the act. DUI is a youthful indiscretion in this country when it is anything but, maybe a couple days jail time would straighten people out because the 5K+ in monetary loses doesn't seem to work very well.
Well the story is talking about jail time for downloading pirated programs for personal use and thats what the initial poster was talking about then you brought up Paris Hilton in the middle of your slippery slop rant. Seriously there are laws on the book already for the crimes you where going off about this law and story is about personal use of pirated software and jail time not a major counterfeit ring.
And as for Paris don't you think it's sad that she didn't go to jail for the DUI or the ridiculous reckless driving but rather the parole violation? How about we start going after people that endanger human life first then we can go after the people that "rob" from corporate pockets.
Slippery slop argument aside are you really comparing someone who downloads copy righted material for personal use (because thats what the GP was talking about) in the same league as a drunk driver or someone doing 75 in a 25 with their head lights off?
Are you kidding me? Drunk driving..... copy right infringement. Stop drinking the cool-aid, money can be recouped lives can't!
I'm 30 and I worked X.25 straight out of college in 2000, making me 30. I'm not old yet .... right?
....
I'm still a young whipper snapper right? Please
Your not kidding that is useless.

Thankfully the comic didn't imply a sense of humor.

Thats what happened to hacked OSX install on my quad AMD box.
Isn't that more of a shelbyville idea?

Tell him to stop surfing for porn its daddy's turn?
Yeah but why would you want to revert to a slower heavier system for something simple like DNS?

It's not even funny.
Wish I had some mod points, great reply.
To quote the website "The phone lines are temporarly closed" all they give is an email address. You can't even call to complain if you don't get it.
If they are legit they are working really hard to seem like a scam.
Kinda like VHS vs. Betamax .....
I think you include pictures taken from inside there house .... or something along those lines .....

I do believe there's a difference and that's where we're going to have to agree to disagree.
