The US still has c. 37,000 troops stationed in S. Korea, around half a century after the ceasefire there...
That's just it, there was a ceasefire. Peace was never negotiated, and with out the US troops there, North Korea probably would have already attempted to Invade the south.
Again let me clarify, when i say, buy movies, not just rent them and the file expires, i mean for them to not rent them and the file expires, not for them the make the file expire when you buy them, they already tried this.
They need to come up with something like iTunes for movies that will let you buy movies, not just rent them and the file expires. And have just enough DRM to stop most people from copying. I think if the RIAA would have done this earlier in the game, they wouldn't be in the mess they are in now.
They send these probes to find life, and I think the life on Mars is destroying them so they won't be found out. The next Mars mission should involve the Marines and 101st Airborne.
It seem like no matter how gory and realistic games get, Doom still seems like one of the scariest to me. I guess when it came out I had just ever seen anything like it before, and nothing else has affected me since. Doom and SimCity are the two games that really got me in to PC gaming, and I haven't stopped since. So thanks Id for being the root cause of me failing chemistry last semester, now I'll never get out of college.
The Russians are experts at getting and staying in Low Earth Attitude. I might be wrong, but I don't believe that they ever even tested a large booter like the Saturn 5.
Well, they did test one, it just blew up on the launch pad.
Does Trolltech have any plans for a GPL version of Qt for Windows? By the way, has anyone heard any thing about a native non-X11 version of KDE and/or KOffice for the Mac.

Maybe the Google IPO will lead to a new dot com boom. This time I'm old enough to get in on it.
Well it is a 1966 or 1967 version so at the time it was a bit accurate.
When you look up the Vietnam War in my mom and dad's encyclopedia, it says that is is small conflict in that the US is winning.
One more time, I'm not advocating expiring downloads, I think that is the worst they could do, they need to let you permanently but them.

Well my monitor is bigger than my TV, so I like to use it for DVDs more.
I think I worded that bad. Not ones that you rent and the file expires. I think this is what kind of things they have right now.

I would have sent a black lab myself. Beagles never come back.

Ah, so he's a Unix administrator.
A really smart shirt from Next
The shirt I got is a little slow, but it means well.
Other than that I got some toothpaste, a toothbrush, and deodorant. I wonder if my mom is trying to tell me something about my hygiene.
I think this is more to make it look like they are actively protecting their patents so they don't end up in jeopardy later.
For things like flash drives, and other portable storage devices FAT is good because it is pretty universally supported by most operating systems.
"Full-Time" (actually 28 hours/week) employees only gross $11,000 a year, on average.
I work at wal mart and I regularly get around 40 hrs a week as a full time employee as do the other full time employees I work with.
Health benefits are available only after two years, but premiums are so high only 38% of employees can afford it.
I was eligible to start receiving my health benefits after six months, which is normal for many companies.
Even discussing working conditions or unionization will result in retaliation and firing.
I complain about my job and pay all the time and haven't been retaliated against or fired.
Yes the source code is there, but how do we know the executable doesn't have crap in there?
Get the sourcecode, chech it and recompile and use that.
Quake III runs quite nicely on my 600 Mhz iMac with its crappy 16Mb video card.

Well since this is likely to be a consumer device and not an enterprise class audio player, you're probably out of luck.

Yeah, Apple is trying to leverage both commercial vendors and open source developers for their platform.

You had me until you said vi. Maybe I'll find someone who teaches Emacs.
I'm having a hell of a time installing this under Mac OS X.
