Hmmm -- If you think beauty is all that matters to you when making love to a woman, perhaps you should consider trying sleeping with girls after the Rohypnol wears off. You will be amazed what a difference consciousness makes.
The concept is in fact so simple it has already been done. This is probably just a new enhanced(!) algorithm. I have a several years old digital camera which has the ability to compensate for moving or shaking the camera, this basic feature is just off by default on my camera, though some more idiot-proff cameras have it on by default.
I had no idea silverlight still exisisted. Does anyone actually use it for anything??
I thought it was just a braindead idea from the corpse of MS Vista that trickes gnomish people into wasting their time. Even on my two windows machines I don't have silverlight installed. I see activex and VG graphics waay more often than silverlight (as in I've seen them used unlike silverlight where this is the first I've seen beyond five year old demos).
Not in my experience no.. Certainly Ivy league universities are second to none, but given the choice between an average US university or a top canadian or north european university, I think most internationals would choose the more prestigious and most importantly FREE non-US university.
Still neither of us have concrete numbers, but I have absolutely no reason to believe your simplified point-of-view.
You should know the number of the webbrowser "bugs" I've debugged that basically came down to:
if (uaparser.msie) {
msiebranch(); } else if (uaparser.ns
|| uaparser.osx)// safari support (bug #666) {
nsbranch(); }
And people are wondering we the websites dynamic menus are not working in Konqueror (or Opera for that matter). Well, see...
PS. This extremely stupid user-agent function-switching is also how most Google webapps are made (including gmail), and why many of them fail to work in konqueror unless you change useragent string:(
Yeah, at least they will pretend that people have to buy a new account. Fortunately it is a lie, this has been tested multiple times in court, they have to allow resales and yes that means they are not allowed to place technical road-blocks on resales (depending on the corruption-level of your local legal system of course).
In a related note, Ultima VII (which you can play on modern PCs w/ shinies using the Exult engine) is still the best Ultima of all time - its NPC AI was revolutionary for having rotating schedules and jobs, which Oblivion & Fallout 3 copied.
Oblivion and Fallout III are nowhere near even Ultima V's system, many of the NPCs never really move much and the plot in Fallout III is completely scripted. They have sacrificed this old-time realism and openess for being more accesible. Morrowind was actually critized for being too open, and was the last game that tried to approach anything Ultima like.
What the fuck is your problem with people washing their hands?
Nothing, but obsessive hand washing is.. obsessive
I work in Security in a large company. We have cameras around the washbasins. I only wish that people washed their hands more, especially guys... I used to be normal before, but now I got OCD - I don't even touch the toilet doors because I would feel like washing my hands again... and again... and again.
You have a small neurosis. Don't worry about it, it is quite normal.
Also, since I work in Security, we do remote checks for unapproved content on user machines. Collections of JPGs are definitely on the list... We had so far 2 employees out of about 6000 in our office (about 4200 are men and most in IT) that had porn, and they have been terminated.
Sounds pretty normal to me. Employees rarely have porn on their computers. Only managers have the nerve for that, did you check the managers machine, or was that 'too high security' for Security?;)
This is already required if not in all of the EU, then in most of the northern European countries. Cell-phones are instead sold with minimum-time subscriptions, so you may change operator but you still have to pay for the old subscription until the minimum time runs out.
The problem is that they are not using actual components for smells, such as leather to produce the smell of leather
Leather doesn't actually have "the smell of leather" naturally. The classic leather smell have always been artificial added chemicals. It used to be chemicals need to treat the leather, but they have stopped using them for that a long time ago, and for the last 40-50 years leather have been sprayed with leather-smell prior to sale, to give it that smell. So the shop is probably using "real" leather smell, the exact same smell they spray on the leather.
Yes but will Kmail finally support html editing, you know like every decent graphical email client has since the turn of the century.
Yes, it has since at least 2006 with KDE 3.2, and hasn't been removed since. Once it only supported showing HTML emails, but five years ago they added rich-text editing.
I hope there is slightly more to this story than the summary suggests. It seems absurd unless they have a law against sharing your internet connection. I personally have an open guest network with no protection, but then so do every major company, all libraries, schools, the trains and even the busses here in copenhagen.
IF the MWP (and the other warm periods that we can see in ice core data) was global then that pretty much falsifies the current climate models. Thus, there's no "added" problem you describe we should be afraid of.
No, not really. Climate scientist are not unaware of earlier temperature changes, it is that data that the climate models are based on, you know those models that predict what happens when you add additional CO2 to the athmosphere. Why are you even going into so long posts, when you don't understand or know anything about the subject? I you want to know something about global warming, then read on the subject matter, and stop guessing randomly, or parroting deliberate misinformation.
CNN does have real news, but for some reason it is limited to the international editions. CNN Europe, while nowhere near BBC World, it is an actual news network, and if you go to the CNN website you can choose between American and International version. Switching back and forth on the CNN website is an intersting eye-opener in what kind of stories they run, and which they ignore.
and, secondly, makes it impossible to write literals for certain values that _could_ actually be represented exactly as a float.
Except any binary floating point number can be accurately converted to a decimal floating point number.
The ability of representation can be expressed as the prime-numbers in the base. base-2 can only represent divisions on the form 2^a accurately, base-10 can represent divisions by 2^a * 5^b accurately, which includes all 2^a forms. Similary a base-30 system could do division by 2, 3 and 5 accurately.
I prefer zucking as the equivalent of phishing information out of users. Facebook zucks information, other phish. After zucking, FB then zuckmines for profit!
I had an old MP3 player by Cowon with a dual processor, and it had 60h battery life. I am surprised the Atom which is a much more powerfull and energy hungry cpu doesn't. If more cores can leed to lower clock-frequencies they may even save power this way.
I really hope a single cruise missile can't take out an aircraft carrier, if they can, then you have far bigger problems that missiles in merchant ships. They or their escorts should have the defenses to evade or destroy most missile types.
How important that is to most people is another thing. I think most people don't think that far when buying a computer.
It is not something you consider when buying the laptop, but it makes the iPad much less interesting to non-Apple users. To have a computer to surf the internet on, play games and read books and comics while travling, I have the choice between a 60$ traveling battery (or two!), a 300$ netbook or a 500$ iPad.

You misunderstood. He said he wanted to get RID of legacy hardware.
Even better transfer all the data to two microSD card. Then we just need a microSD to SD envelope that takes two cards and run them as RAID :rock:

Actually the "settlers" were illegal immigrants, and the actions where they slowly took over land was called filibustering.
Internet "contracts" are not valid in Denmark (and most of the world). I don't read them on purpose since they do not apply to me.

Free apartments yes, jobs, no.. To get free stuff you need to be poor, and while being poor is better than in the US, it still sucks.
The EU minimum warranty is 24 months.
