The Volvo S60R beats it by miles in pretty much every department
Every department? Have you LOOKED at the two cars? Good God! The M3 looks like a pure bred sports car compared to the Volvo that looks like a pure bred grocery getter.
I'm sure the Volvo costs less, but don't say "beats it by miles in every department" when style of the BMW is light years ahead of the Volvo, and the number one factor that decides purchases (right after price) for many people, is style.
Then your company must not have laptops, not use IE (or have an internet connection at all), or use outlook.
Unless you personally read everyone's email and delete the viruses that come in BEFORE the virus people have definitions in place to detect said viruses.
You are aware that there are exploited outlook/IE/windows holes that are STILL unpatched, right? Maybe you haven't been hit by them, but many have!
Yet another reason not to ever turn on the radio and listen to CD's only... You radio won't broadcast a signal, telling CC that you are listening to their station. Awful.
The problem must be at the server because it is widely known that Thunderbird has superior IMAP support ESPECIALLY when compared to Outlook or Outlook Express! Those are virtually POP3 only clients.
Having just received my new motorolla phone with T-Mobile service since I wrote that, I can tell you that it does indeed work for free.:)
It's funny how they set it up. If you try to use any of the T-Zones icons directly, it won't work and I believe it says you have to pay for it. However, if you just open the web browser and "Go to URL" it works fine. Anything to trick people into paying for it, I guess...
Web browsing isn't as reliable as the voice service, but it mostly works. I've used it to check the weather a few times, log in to yahoo and check/send email, and to Google. I forsee things like dictionary.com or mapquest being useful in the future!
With T-Mobile, you dont need "t-zones" to get WAP access. Every customer has free WAP access. It's been decided that essentially all t-zones adds is the custom t-zones home page. Kinda silly if you ask me, but then most people don't expect this and so they pay the $5/mo fee.
BTW, this is a well known fact. Just check any phone site like howardforums and see for yourself.
how *does* one get this "free email"? I had to buy a computer, a firewall, a monitor, and pay the phone company a chunk 'o cash to give me a connection.
You just said it yourself. You already paid the phone company (or ISP more likely) for the connection. You will be paying twice if they segregate one form of data from the other, as in: email costs this much, but regular data costs this much.
My point remains. If the spam is such a problem for you, why don't you pay for a service to filter your spam for you (no setup by you) instead of subscribing to the idea that paying for email cleanup (essentially that's what it is) should be forced on everyone? There are many people that consider it a problem, but many *less* that consider it a problem worth paying for with each message sent.
Really. Do you have any links that say this? Not to be a smartass--I'm genuinely interested as I have a MX700 and all my research has shown that USB makes no difference in accuracy... So if you can easily find that info, let me know. I couldn't find it, but maybe you're looking somewhere I didn't come across.
It's actually a good idea to switch the mouse pointer to the USB connector. I use a Logitech MX500 mouse pointer and its very high pointing accuracy is a result of the fact you can get much finer accuracy when the mouse is plugged into the USB port.
This is simply false. (sorry, I don't have a link available to back me up, but I've read about it many times)
I believe the PS/2 refresh rate is 120hz max and the USB is 200hz. The problem is that no one can tell the difference once you get over 100hz anyway, so while it may technically be better, in the real world it makes no difference at all. And there is also an argument to use the PS/2 port--that being you don't waste a sometimes very precious USB port and you can't plug *anything* except a mouse into the PS/2 mouse port.
So you think that because it annoys you and you are unwilling/unable to make the situation better for yourself, EVERYONE should be punished by paying for each email sent?
If your getting thousands of spam per month then it's time to:
1) Stop posting your address on the web w/o any obfuscation. A simple email_DELETETHIS_@domain.com goes a long way. Or better, use a jpg to show your email and not a text link.
2) Stop using your REAL EMAIL ADDRESS when signing up for ANYTHING.
3) Get a new email address that isn't something extremely easy to guess like "bob@msn.com"
I pay $50 a month for Cox Extended Basic and Broadband. No cable box, no rental fees. I don't need another 100 channels of crap... so digital cable/satellite doesn't offer anything for me.
So you pay $50/mo for EACH, right? That would be $100/mo.
I'll never switch to Satellite until they come up with a broadband solution as good as cable
You do realize that you can have satellite and still use cable for broadband, right? I have no idea why you would treat it like either everything goes through cable or nothing does. You just get the cheapest/best service from each.
Actually, only 30% of the US Population is serviceable by Satilite.
Are you saying that something like 60% of the US lives underground? In heavily wooded forrests?

Yeah, only the most visible and largest are only for profit, so excuse the generalizing on our part.
Examples: Enron, World Com, Tyco, Microsoft, RIAA, MPAA, etc. And these are just the most recent.
Good reasons.
Except IE isn't ready for prime time either, and it's at 6.0.

I go to walmart.com and I don't pay them anything. It's on the public internet. Same with game servers.
That may be bit different, but the difference isn't very big.
Yet another reason not to ever turn on the radio and listen to CD's only... You radio won't broadcast a signal, telling CC that you are listening to their station. Awful.
You clearly don't understand the economic definition of "monopoly."
It is not "when someone owns 100% of something." That would be called "100% ownership" or "complete ownership."
It is when a company effectively controls a market, regardless of the actual percentage controlled.
Do you get it now? Repeat after me: No percentage is necessary, only effictive control...
Didn't Kerry actually vote FOR the patriot act when it was passed? I'd say it's too late for him to say that now.

The problem with that is if anything happens to your Tivo, you're SOL, as your subscription won't transfer.
Well damn. I wish I lived where you do. In the 3 states I've lived, in 4 different cities, I've never seen anything that low for cable and internet.
Can you give a link that shows this price breakdown for your area?
Heh. That was great. It was even more great because it's true!

I'm glad you don't get to make the decisions.

And knives differ from that statement how, exactly?
Why are so many people killed by guns in the US, compared to other countries? If guns made places safe, there would be no murders in the US.
Canada has more guns per person than the USA and their violent murder rate is GREATLY below ours.
How do you explain that? I think that proves guns aren't the reason.
THAT is not a pasty...
