    I realize I'm only picking that last point of your discussion and ignoring the rest, but I teach my kids not to hit each other because it's WRONG. It has nothing to do with reciprocity.

    A masochist may like it if I walk up and punch him/her in the face. Doesn't mean I should do it. I'd still think it was wrong.

    And if the legislation just says that funding goes to a Theme Park, then there's not a problem. Wanna build a FSM theme park and get tax payer money? Go for it. My bigger complaint would be the government giving tax money to a theme park period, but that's just me.

    Also, I've always been confused how an amendment that limits the US Congress stops the State legislature from doing things.

    Yeah, I'd say they did offer the non-citizen argument. Are you saying that you have 100% proof that he is a natural born citizen?

    There's also the question of him becoming an Indonesian citizen while living there. Did he file as a non-US citizen for college? We just don't know.

    I'm failing to see where Beardo claims his kids decided. Of course he decided for them. As you state, neither of them has the ability.

    As a parent, he has made the decision for them, it's what parents do.

    Hopefully he discussed this with his wife. Possibly he discussed it with his kids, but maybe not.

    Can you find me one that does work? I haven't done even numbers because they are either a power of 2 or they eventually halve down to an odd number. Powers of two always work.

    Wrong. This just proves that "truth" is subjective. The "fact" remains. There has to be something that is right, that's what I call "fact". There is then something that you belive to be right, and you can call that "truth". Doesn't make it right, and I may be able to prove you wrong with the facts, but it doesn't mean you'll change your mind. It also doesn't mean that you are right.

    Either something is a fact or it isn't. The fact is that we don't know all the answers, so we make up subjective truths.

    Gee, it's almost like what one considers to be fact is, like, subjective, or something.

    Back to my point that what one considers to be fact is truth. Fact is. Truth might be.

    So, I shouldn't try to save energy because then I'll have more money, and I'll pollute more? Your logic has confused me.

    Seriously though, "known facts" generally aren't facts. People with "more" money are the ones that can afford to buy the typically more expensive energy saving appliances/cars/lights. Most people don't drive an old beater because they want to, it's just what they can afford.

    During a power outage, a VoIP phone is only as good as any battery backups on hand, because delivering power through the broadband connection isn't possible on a wide commercial basis. An emerging alternative broadband-delivery technique, broadband over power line, will solve this problem, but wide deployment is years away.

    Where did you get this quote? The article doesn't mention "broadband over power line". At least not now. And the web page says it hasn't been updated since 4 AM PDT.

    It seems that the author is trying to present a way to power your VoIP router/phone even during a power outage by supplying power over the broadband. Of course, you still have to have your DSL/Cable modem on UPS.

    Actually, the article talks about sending power over broadband, not broadband over powerlines. So, I guess he's wanting to power your router from your ISP?

    How much power would that require for the router and phone?

    Ever hear of only one parent working? Put yourself in someone else's shoes before you try to make them look stupid. It just ends up coming back at you.
    Now, if you are a one parent family, this obviously doesn't hold, and this car isn't for you. For me, it'd be great.
    I would need more life insurance first though. Too many stupid drivers out there.

    How did your parents ever survive without a cell phone?
    The fact is that you don't NEED the phone to work everywhere, you just WANT it to. There's a big difference.
