You obviously dont work with customers:) EVERY SINGLE ONE IS STUPID. At least the ones that call me are.
I recently bought 2 old 486's for 15 dollars, one of them was a gateway when I plugged it in a fire started up on the motherboard I tried to blow it out, but that didnt work. I had to pull the power cable. It went right out. I plugged it back in, turned it back on and it lit up again. Now I have to worry about the computer in my bedroom catch on fire while Im asleep. Sorta sobering.
Linux (this quote was actualy about UNIX, but it still applies) allows doesnt stop you from doing stupid stuff because that would also stop you from doing clever stuff.
I recently got a Tivo and was disapointed that it doesnt auto skip commercials. Tivo also doesnt allow for file sharing. This is pretty smart, the media companys are going after RePlay and not them. Their keeping their heads off the chopping blocks by not going to far.
