It is called jurisdiction. I don't like that I live in a world where if I burn a "holy book" or draw a picture that some religious nut job considers to be a "sacrilege" that I could be shipped of to some zealot controlled country just because our leaders negotiated a bad treaty and they don't want to risk not being able to extradite a terrorist some day or loosing face because they negotiated a bad treaty in the first place. The knife cuts both ways. If a person is guilty of a crime it should at the very least be a crime where they were when they supposedly did it, and they should be prosecuted in that country, not shipped off to some country that believes in torture and has abandoned all pretense of human rights.
Another important thing about OLEDs is that they have a far lower life expectancy. While that might be fine for a cell phone that you intend to replace every two years, it is not so good when buying that huge wide screen TV for the living room. Assuming that you don't like seeing lots of dead pixels or that you are willing to replace your TV every couple of years. Personally I have avoided OLED TVs for this reason (even more so than because of the previous higher price).
It is a shame that these female programmers are not better and able to keep up with their male counterparts. I blame the educators who pushed them into programming in the first place.
"As the submitter," writes whoever57, "it's not clear to me how this man did anything different from the high-speed and algorithmic traders do every day."
That's the problem you have with this? The problem that I have is that someone is being accused of something he supposedly did outside the U.S. but is being forcibly brought to the U.S. We supposedly can't re-try known murderer O.J. because of double jeopardy. but now anyone who does anything while outside the U.S. can be subject to U.S. extradition! Yea, I read the part about the trading being on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, but that just tells me that we should lock up the greedy bastards in this country that allow that to happen, otherwise we open our institutions to attack from China or any other nation that we can't extradite from. We have an abundance of crooks in the financial markets in this country that they should be going after who would be far better targets than this American abuse of power.
Since when did "doesn't really exist yet" equate to "First"? And I'm comfortable in saying it doesn't exist yet because I looked for the app on the Google App store and it isn't there. No app, no product. No product, no "first" claim can be valid.
before that Microsoft's general manager of product security
I wonder if he was in charge of Microsoft product security when they turned over the source code for most of the computers used in the U.S. to the Chinese government.
But Hillary is poor. She can't afford a secure $4,750 device, even when national security and the safety of our citizens and embassies are concerned. So she just told the government Fuck You. After all, she can get away with anything; that has been proven over and over again.
Well, the person being investigated by the FBI is now finger pointing at the FBI. Her problems are always the fault of someone else. But how do we know it is the NSA this time and not the vast right wing conspiracy?
If you ask me. She was going out of her way to do the right thing and getting cockblocked by our friends at NSA
Absolutely. If you ask for something and you don't get it for any reason, then you are completely justified in risking the national security by setting up your own insecure email sever, using your own insecure mobile device, and even putting classified information on thumb drives and giving them to people without security clearance. Everything she did is the NSA's fault. Hell, the NSA must have even killed Vince Foster.
That's Awful. This country (at least in recent years) has been built on giving the the whinny 3-5% everything that they cry about. It has made this country what it is now.
Alibaba is a company based on the concept of cheating the American devil of as much as they can. Now they are going to train 1,000,000 more Chinese in "E-commerce". What could go wrong?
DoJ calls Apple's rhetoric in the San Bernardino standoff as "false" and "corrosive" because the Cupertino firm dared suggest that the FBI's court order could lead to a "police state."
How dare you suggest that our court order could lead to a police state? Just for that we are going to take whatever we want!
If the guy cant receive sw radio i think GPS is not going to work either.
Boy are you wrong. The WWV time signals are notoriously hard to receive, And their relatively low frequency calls for large, long antennas, GPS is much easier to receive in most locations, even inside, and requires a much smaller antenna. Another RF option that is much better than SW is the cell network. Cell phones sync their time with it, and I've had cell phones without an active cell plan that could still sync their time over a cell network.
Actually, there is a better option over GPS that works better indoors but no one seems to be using. Cell phones set their time over the cellular network and can do so without GPS. I've seen cell phones sync to local time even without an active cellular plan, so there seem to be no reason that a wall clock couldn't sync over a cell network without an active plan as well.
"the first crewed space mission beyond low-Earth orbit"
Seems unlikely, everyone knows that humans can't go past the deadly Van Allen Belt radiation. Looks like another scam to fleece the American taxpayers.
Apparently "Stand Your Ground Laws" are flawed, and they should all be replaced with "Just give the criminals everything they want and let them shoot your entire family" laws.
It is right to scheme to cheat the lottery players. But if you come up with any way to actually avoid being cheated and win, that is illegal.

And with burn-in and shorter OLED life, you'll soon have the joy and excitement of getting a new 70 inch TV every year.

Seems like this AI conflicted with Penguinisto's own little belief system and so he needs to ridicule the AI rather than questioning his own beliefs.

Humans in Ireland 12,500 years ago? If that were true, why are there none now?

So Tencent Security Team Sniper's root-level code execution exploit earned not just $40,000 but TEN POINTS too! Wow, now I'm impressed.
So Slashdot accepted this story, but they rejected my submission that "Car Hackers Warn That FBI Is A Serious Threat".

Of course it's the Chinese, but we will never know for sure until we make out computers even less secure by forcing Apple to build in back doors.

Terrorists don't like Donald Trump. What a surprise!
