    Second that. Microsoft Voice Command has been around for a while as well as voice command in windows. It is fine for dictation but I would not use it to control PC. It is much easier to point what needs to be done with mouse than to explain it.

    Nonsense. Are they requiring him to get on a plane and land in US? I don't know what kind of deal RMS got for himself but I am pretty sure it is quite uncommon that organizers require you to go back to country of origin after the engagement is over. He should have negotiated fee for giving talks like 1k/hour and pay for his trip himself and not be restricted in his movements.

    Kernel development isn't driven by the product needs but by egos people maintaining it. In that sense it is no different to any closed source kernel. The only option to get things done quickly is to fork it and then hope to get it merged later. Linus isn't exactly known as "accommodating" and "reaching out" individual and merging code upstream isn't exactly a priority on Google product schedule so there.

    They don't have access to the code. Besides, reviewing the code requires non-trivial technical skills. They are checking that apps conform to certain standards. If somebody really wants to plant backdoor into their app then nothing can realy stop them. There must be an explanation for 10000 fart apps in the store. Perhaps some of them have VOIP client built in...

    They can do NAT for all clients but it does require effort to redesign the network.

    Windows Mobile: it depends on the carrier/device. Some only allow signed apps.

    All software is licensed so you are not the owner. The same logic that applies to Psystar applies to hardware sold by Apple (you own the hardware but you license the software). So according to your logic, every time you boot your Mac you are making an illegal copy.

    Android was designed for touch screen interface - finger-friendly touch screen to be exact. No wonder it feels "clunky" using a pointer device like mouse/touchpad.
