America pulled pretty much exactly the same tricks with everything from science (hell what kind of global standard is CDMA anyway?) to sport.
The U.S. government did not create the CDMA standard nor forced any operators to use it. Unlike the Europeans, it did not force a standard on mobile phone operators, and let the market decide.
Last time I checked, the goverment didn't have anything to do with sports, either.
Why does China insist on the one-China policy with the Republic of China? It's not because, I believe, of evil people; it's an almost blind faith to the belief that all Chinese belong in one nation.
Too bad most people in Taiwan see themseleves as Taiwanese. But, of course, this is not important to the Chinese government, and they have brainwashed their citizens to think that the Taiwanese need "liberation" from their indepenence.

I think that the biggest concern is that the Chinese will have access to Galileo, and will use it to lob missles at Taiwan, Japan, and the U.S.
Well, Galileo needs to go *up* first. :)
But with larger oceans and a warmer atmosphere, we'll get more cloud formation and more rain.
I thought it was used to control serial ports!
So, it depends on how many newtons your car's engine has.
But shouldn't the dominant political parties be rich enough to do it?
..and it arrives at the perfect time, the production of bullshit is at an all-time high!

But the Chinese Communists are much better at it!
For that matter, do they offer Cable Box remotes with seven unique codes?
Maybe there's a big screen TV on the back side!
Good point. Has anybody ever heard of the Campbell's soup curse?
Well, there goes my plan for having a Tejas Longhorn computer...
Meanwhile, Nokia huddles in a corner and cries...
