**Unconventional people do the same thing. The difference is that they filter out the people in the suits and ties instead of the green hair and the nose rings.**
Sadly enough, its too true. I work for a city hospital in the IT field. I have subdermal implants, scarifications, large stretched piercings...etc etc. All of these modifications are rather "hardcore mods" yet they are not visible. I have these modifications for myself and myself only. A lot of my closest friends are tattoo artists and piercers AND i work for a large suspension team and i used to be a piercer for four years. Anyway, going to tattoo conventions, meeting other modified people, visiting tattoo shops....some of them (them as in "modified" people) look at me like i have no idea what im doing. Like i walked in to the wrong room. Yet when someone with green hair and visible tattoos walks in.....they get 50 cool points as opposed to me getting none.
I love the look on their faces when they realize how involved i actually am in this modification community though.
But whatever, i'll just go back to work at my well paying job and continue to live my life as i see fit.....as everyone else should.
there are hospitals, companys, schools...etc that have ancient computer sitting around still doing random easy tasks. There is no need to update those computers...unless a larger load of work is needed to be done.
you know....some people actually like windows over linux though. I have a friend who prefers doing all his school work on a windows machine because on a linux machine will get distracted with fiddleing with it. And with a mac they just havent given it too much of a try....they are kind of expensive.
I on the other hand would prefer doing all my work on a mac.....less distractions.
Filters defintely go bad. My factory filters went bad after 2 years of use. And i realized my filters went out when i was getting very very slow download and upload speeds.
I work at the IS department for a hospital and we have the same set up. To access the medical records we use a personbalized darakey and a password. It logs every patient you view and keeps it in records. BUT, there is a way around....i have authority to reset passwords and log on to accounts without the use of a key. Just type the key/badge number of a user/doctor and retrieve their password. Now it looks like that doctor was accessing those medical records and not i. But i dont ever really do this....only because all that medical record lingo means nothing to me...haha.
actually......when i plug my ipod in to any windows 2000 / XP machine. It just picks it up and starts to work.....and have you tried installing an all in one printer on linux? Whats that?...you have?....come over my house, cuz i still need help.
what about it?....i tried calling for info....i was on hold for 30 min just so they could tell me that they have no idea when it would be available to me.
