    I agree with you. But when you need a simple tool in an unexpected scenario bette to have leatherman than nothing. Kind of like a swiss knife while camping.

    I review my web log files on a regular basis and look for exploit attemps to update my firewall and make sure I am not exposed. I use log files to prevent a SHTF scenario as much as possible. Now get off my lawn kid.

    I use an old netbook for movie watching while trying to sleep (not a pervert, only insomniac). I let the computer die by itself many times a week and so far XFS never gave up on me. Never had to fscking at boot, never complained, so far no FS corruption I can see. I would recommend XFS based on its reliability and I trust it's stability being almost 2 decades old. Bonus point, it performs beautifully and do not require gigabytes of memory just to run. I mostly pick FS based on reliability, and disks based on speed.

    I experienced similar experiences in the private sector. Not allowed to buy paper while the boss buys 5000$ worth of winter tires for its high end mercedes. Maybe you should look for something else like I did.

    When you are hungy enough, you will innovate something to feed yourself. Now too much austerity and people will not be able to afford education, but who will see the actual difference?

    LOL, I was refering to source articles material. Good thing I was not specific as you would not have enlightened my day with your serious humour. I have no intention to use a smoke detector as heat sink... that would be very, very stupid. I am curious as to foundries radiating their wafers to shorten the life of their products. After all, they seek good yields and that would kinda go against it. I will file this meme under "urban legends" or "stuff-mythbusters-should-test" until further evidence.

    The point is the following: 4.10 pounds of meat is equal to 4.1 pounds of meat. Why 4.10 ion versioning numbers are different than 4.1. considering the amount of mathematical knowledge required for proficience in software development, I am genuinely and completely "flabergasted" by the lack of rigor. This comment represent my opinion and by no means is a scientific survey. Still, it smells mediocrity to my nose.
