You know what makes it your fault? Because you sit around an bitch about it and don't do nothing constructive. Posting signs and arresting kids for being kids doesn't work. As a society this is all our fault.

Get off your ass and out from in front of the computer and do something with your life. If the teens/kids in your community need a place to play then get out there and start talking to people about doing it. Do something.

And if you don't like my option put me on your ignore list and shut the fuck up.

Well maybe if you had a fucking place for the kids to hang out and play "football" you wouldn't have this problem. I really get tired of listening to old fucker bitch about the teen "problem" then not do anything about it except to pass useless laws.

My town put in a walk track for the old fucker in town to walk around the park. It was flat and long, perfect for skateboards and shit. Well the old goat started bitch'n about the skateboarders to the town counsel which did what those who do not know always do. The put up signs making it illegal to skateboard in the park.

Thus did nothing to deter the skateboarders who had no place left to go. All it did was give a couple of cops a power trip so they could start busting skateboarders and taking their shit away.

Well finally someone got a clue. They converted the unused tennis courts across the park to a skateboard park. Now the kids have a place to hang out and the old farts got their jogging track back.

I think I may need to clarify this a little bit. When I said hire someone, I meant hire some of the local talent out of design school or still in school learning to be webdesigners. Most of them have the talent to do what you want them to do. I don't mean bring them on staff, hire them for this one time job and maybe some future maintenance.

When I say they work cheap, I mean they work cheap from a small business point of view. I was thinking of something like 250 to 400 bucks. That should be in range of most small business, maybe even chump change. But to a struggling college student that is a shit load of bread. Plus you can be giving that student the break he or she needs.

I never said he couldn't do it himself. It is how much is your time worth to you? For me I have little talent to learn, and almost no motivation to do so, web graphics design. I can, but I would rather pay someone 300 bucks and have it done for me. After that I can take over maintenance and even add pages as time goes by.

This is my advice too. I'm good when it comes to technical shit. I can build a computer in my sleep from the parts I have in the box that my feet is propped on. I've coded in just about everything that compiles.

Now you need something on the back end of a webpage and I can do it, no problem. But I find some many geeks like myself have no talent in graphics arts. And that is what you need. A business webpage needs to run good and you sound like you have that covered. But it also needs to look good and be functional.

Hire someone that knows what they are doing.

I have a little bit of advice in this area from experience too. I was the IT department of a small company like that once. I was ask the samething. I can put together a home page but a business page is a whole different bowl of wax. You screw it up and you can lose customers.

My advice would be to scout some of the local talent first. You can find some really good artists and designers out of the local techschools. Most of them will work cheap, a good page might set you back 200 bucks.

For instance his Africa policy. He basically wants the world bank and the western world to write Africa a blank check. And he wants all this money to go to Africa with no strings attached. He won't accept that there are smarter people out there with better plans to help African, and that most of them are Africans. If he heard my Afican solution he would probably roll over dead...... I have a letter to write.

There could be a number of reasons that I can think of but the best one would be the "right time, right place" reason. The reporter is doing a story on the attack in the street, the army comes rolling by, and she just grabs her shit and goes with them. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the arming too. They did come out of no where so they had to be tracking the critter before it came a shore. I could understand a swat team or maybe the national guard with some heavy hand weapons but not a full armor division. It takes time to get that kind of logistics together, more time than the movie covered. So the army had to be following the critter before it attacked new york to have that kind of hardware in place.

Now that too would be an interesting movie.

I really hate movies where the nuclear option is the best way to handle a problem but it is taken off the table because of some whiny hippie or some feel good moral reason.

That is one of the reasons I hated that War of the Worlds remake. The nuclear response was never even brought up. The way I figure it when you have nothing to lose it should be one of the first options. Sure the alien walkers had shields but from what I saw they where not anchored to anything. Their shields may have held up to the initial blast but not being anchored the shock waves should have tossed them around like toys. That would do nice things to the organics inside.

I hated that in ID4 too. Sure we hit them with one nuke then we quit. Well they where trying to exterminate us so we had nothing to lose. Hit then with a 1000 or 5000 and keep it up till they die or we run out. We have nothing to lose. At least we could have nuked them when we dropped their shields. That would have made more sense. Nuke them while we where sure their shields where down for a solid kill. Of course it would have sucked if they where powered by antimatter.
