    I am not the original poster, but I reckon he just means that some of the ten zillion things that can be adjusted in KDE should be hidden behind an "Advanced" button.

    Heheh, I'm trying to get myself addicted to games again.

    After spending a great summer intereacting with Real People in the Real World, I'm out of money. After the initial expense of a computer, playing games heavily is a very cheap way to spend your free time :)

    I've had a hotmail account for years and years and years, and I've posted the address everywhere that's likely to get collected by spammers (like here: peterpimley@hotmail.com). But despite everybody saying otherwise, I just don't get spam.

    Sure, I have a 'junk mail' folder that gets about 50 mails a day, but that doesn't come out of your 2(50)Mb, and it's a free service.

    Could somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    Agreed.

    Also, I'm incredibly impressed with the tech features of my girlfriend's iPod mini. So much functionality from a wheel and a button. I've not once had to look at the instruction manual, and I've investiaged every feature it has.

    I had a situation where I was frequently breaking a Windows install as part of my work. I did the following to make 'reinstalling' easy:

    • Get Windows to exactly the state you want to start from.
    • Install linux (dual boot) on a small partition. Set lilo to default to Windows.
    • Boot into linux and do: tar -cvzf Windows.tgz /dev/your_windows_partition
    • Whenever you need to 'reinstall', just boot into linux and untar the file back over the partition.

    You'll also find the lack of information about the X-15 in things like the Guiness Book of Records. I think this is because the speed the X-15 reached was unverified by an impartial observer, or something like that.

    Another question: Doesn't the space shuttle enter the atmosphere at some crazy mach value like 20? At what point are you defined as being in space, I wonder?
