Many databases contain spurious entries designed to detect duplication.
An extra Mr. Smith with a specific phone number helps the copyright owner detect people skimming the data. I've been told they do this with maps/GPS data.
Explaining where that extra entry came from may be a little difficult.
With a reasonably modern laptop, you have 100GB+ of storage space, TrueCrypt can pose as any file type. Even if they check ever file 1Gb or over thats still 100 files that would require checking. Somehow unless your pictures are in "My Documents/My Pictures/Porn" I doubt that an custom agent had the time.
The biggest problem I have with laptops it the lack of driver updates. My laptop has a nVidia graphics card, but is unsupported by nVidia. The drivers need to be updated by the manufacturer and I cannot use the universal driver. My old laptop with Geforce 2, hasnt had a driver update since 2002.
the problem there are may underrated game.
I just need a online database so I can find people with similar likes/dislikes,
chances are if they share my optinion of X, Y and Z, maybe I will look at their fav.
Shiny (Sacrifice), Planet Moon (Giants), Lionhead/Bullfrog(Magic Carpet/B&W) do some good stuff, but like any developer they can often lay an egg.
Not being underrated is a matter of timing, just like a movie release.
The $10+ we pay for a CD isn't for the media cost. The cost of a mass produced CD is below $1. We are paying for the right to listen to the music. The problem is that the physical CD is seen as the embodyment of this right, If the physical CD is taken we can't prove we have a right to play the music.
Now if the thief was charged with the violation, that would be justice.
If we payed for the vinal, what can't we just pay a media cost for the upgrade to CD, and if the CD gets scratch, can't we just pay for media replacement
So in a serious enough bug/security risk is discovered in a product and the developers aren't prepared to fix it, I can stop using it
and get my money back ?
