    Although the telecoms are powerful, this isn't just an issue of telecoms vs. the public. There are a lot of powerful voices saying that the telecoms shouldn't have this power, such as google, amazon, and intel.

    vote OUT anyone in D.C. that' over 40 years old (or don't own an iPod).

    People under 40 are just as corruptable as those over 40. The real solution is to elect someone who hasn't already been bought by the *AA. If you are going to vote, you should really become informed about the candidates and then vote for the person on the ballot that you've never heard of. The people who can afford to campaign do not represent the public interest.

    I think Dvorak is 100% correct (first time for me)...If they used any other browser, they could lay half their security problems at it's feet.

    He might be correct in referring to IE as a "blunder", but it is in no way responsible for vista being late. By blaming IE, he's basically suggesting that software development can be sped up by throwing more money and people at it and that microsoft is so strapped for cash that they can't hire anyone else to work on vista.

    Flash is already irritating, and flash based start pages don't always work right. If anything, having to click to activate flash content will make it less irritating. There's even a firefox plugin devoted to this very task.
