If you're wondering who Rands is, he's also one of the "writers" of Jerkcity, probably the best nihilistic/deep/nerd/software webcomic out there, which you can find at http://www.jerkcity.com/
Jerkcity also spawned http://www.leisuretown.com/ which is the ultimate examination of life expressed in a webcomic.
Where in the Constitution does it say the federal government cannot?
"The Congress shall have Power - To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof."
futhermore:
"The Congress shall have power . . . To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the
several states, and with the Indian tribes"
Basically this means: Unless the government is denying your rights under the constitution, it can do what it wants.
The trailer has pretty much assuaged all my fears -- and the movie is 2.5 hrs long, so I think most of the important plot will be in there. I don't even care about the "Pirate Comic".
I also thought V for Vendetta and 300 were great, so to each their own. Wanted should have been aborted.
I'm a lot more excited for this than I am the devastation that will be Fallout 3.
If you enjoyed the logic and applicability of a CS degree, why not go to Law School? I almost did, before I rediscovered how much fun engineering could be:) I still did pre-law in college and loved it.
Law is a fascinating and brain-bending field, and you don't have to work 16 hrs a day as an attorney if you don't want to.
Fuel efficient-cars aren't about decreasing pollution, they're about not givng money to people who want to kill us (for invading their hoemlands) by buying their oil.
For anyone intersted in old PC Gamer humor, I'm starting an archive at www.corporaldan.com which will consist of the brilliant Corporal Dan videos, anything Coconut Monkey related, and anything from back in the days when PC Gamer was funny:P
Feel free to e-mail me if you have anything to contribute.

C'mon, let me hear you say it.
"It's Ridge Racer! Riiiiiiiidge Racer!"

"The Playstation 3 shall retail for... $599!"
WRONG!
You can get a free version of SCII for 3DO that runs on PC -- voice and everything! Check out The Ur-Quan Masters
I think Diablo is crap. Just a bunch of clicking to collect teh +3 STR SWORD OF DRAGONPOWER
X-Com was a brilliant blend of strategy and role-playing elements that manages to make every game exciting and different.
:)
Fallout 2 was amazing -- a huge world, violent weapons, and intensive role-play action. Anything post-apocalypic gets marks up from me
NESkimos -- Best. Nintendo. Metal. Ever.
