E-bay has sued other companies and sites that allowed you to bid on e-bay sites without going though the e-bay site. e-bays claim is that thoses other sites cause to much traffic, however the main reason is that you are not looking at e-bay advertisements.
For thoses now planning to go and are new to it. The fest is actually consists of around 7 festivals going on at the same time, everything from military performance, book festival, comedians, music, opera, etc. The place is just packed with performances in every available building, from government offices to local churches. Most of the rooms are small places with just enough room for the performers and the small audiance. Usally good shows, and during breaks between show you can tour Edinburgh.
The US does not recognize dual citizenship, as far as the US is concered you are or you are not a US citizen.
So, just watchout what passport you use when you travel into and out of the US, beyond that it is no problem.
Now taxes are another story, as a US citizen you are expected to pay taxes no matter where you live or earn your money. However the US has aggreements with most countries over taxes and who you have to pay them too. Just read the requirements, you can info on them on most expat sites.
Maybe someone can answer theses for me.
1) Who hold and owns the central database which contains all this information?
2) Can I setup my own central database using thier technology just to authenticate people to my own servers or intranet even? Or is the libery alliance aways going to require that I use main repository?
The problem with stone is where to store it, so that it does not waste away from water,wind, fricton etc. Also it is large.
You are far better off getting solid gold paper and stenciling your message in that, then buring the gold paper somewhere in a desert.
Read the reports on the traveling containers, and the tests they did on them. In one of the tests they even rammed the containers with a 120 ton train going at 80 mph, the container was not breached.
The one test where they get leakage(the amount of leakage was such that if you stood around it you would get the same amount of rads as taking muliple plane trips) was when they took a large directional-shapped explosive charge directly on the container.
The safest thing that could be done with the waste would be to store it in the traveling containers on the site where it was generate, but that is extremly expensive.
michael jackson problem is with sony and is all financial. Back when he was actually making money and performing he would ask sony to loan him huge amounts of money, which they gladly did. Well thoses loans are due, the interest is high, and he is not making any money.
So now he is complaining that they are racist, and basiclly anything so he does not have to pay back his loans and fulfill some other contract obligations.

According to the article on zdnet, pay pal will
continue to live as a seperate standalone service,
while thier current system will be replaced with pay pal. So all of thoses using pay pal outside of ebay don't need to worry.
I am sure I had read somewhere that Anthony Head was going to be staring in a new Buffy spin-off dealing with his pre-watcher days. Was I totally off or was that cancelled, so that he is available for this?
Don't forget the $10 charge for the TV listing and the charge for Xbox live.
However under a combined box it would be stupid to have theses as seperate charges so expect a single around $20+ monthly charge which contains both. So now when you get sick of playing the game online you still have to pay for that to get your TV listings.
And the even better thing is now you cannot sent the kids off to another room to play games while you want to watch your recorded shows.
Overall they are just wrapping two failed products in a bright bow, and fooling some people.
Apple not supporting will not make a difference. What will make the difference is Sun, IBM, etc not supporting it on thier mainframes.

While developed by an outside company, which created a great game, Microsoft controls the rules and Code of Conduct. Microsoft could careless about the cheating and does minimum amount of taking care of people who just play to cause problems for other people.
Thing is thier is no reason to believe that microsoft will change with the X-Box network. Based on microsoft's current track record thier is no way I would purchase an x-box for on-line gaming and believe that microsoft will take care of the security, hacking, and just plain trouble making people.
You can have an absolute open box where anyone can get on and do anything they want, and it will have a military grade. Granted it is not a high level of security but it is a military graded security.
The tivo is far easier, and nicers the only information you need to know are your zip code, area code, if you have cable/antenna/satellite, and the name of the programs you want to record. The only problem your grandma may have is if she is using the 5 VCRs to record programs at the same it. Tivo only allows recording on one program at a time, however while it is recording you can watch any of the programs previously recorded.
