I'd rather have the ability to plug in my USB HDD or be able to mount a network share (SMB/NFS/SSH) directly on the wii to access my iso'd movies that way!
What I'd LOVE to see is a F/OSS or even proprietary PDF reader/writer (complete with forms) in under the massive 335mb or 100mb options mentioned above.
Why the bloody hell are these programs so dammed huge?!
Along with the CD's place everything on a couple of large compact flash cards because it would be a shame to *really* have a definitive idea of how long optical media will last and expire in.
Meh, I still have issues with people with UIDs higher than the 600k mark. I should have registered when I first started browsing/. back when UIDs were in the 100k range
Actually I've done just that. They asked to see the laptop and it booted to a cli interface. even after logging in (dummy account) the guy didn't know what to do and when he asked if it could be booted to windows for him to look around, I got a strange look when telling him it didn't run windows.
He sort of chuckled and said he didn't know that was possible but didn't care. no gui to him meant no pics apparently.
no strip search, no confiscation, no disk cloning.
*waves his hand* "this isn't the laptop we're looking for... move along"
I watched them for the first time when I was about 9 and even now, they still rock over their newly bastardised movies. The original VHS (or if you were lucky to own an LD and convert it to DVD PLEASE for the love of all that's holy hook me up) is where it's at because the newly redesigned simply SUCKS. I liked them cleaning up the images to make them sharper but GEEZ! NO EXTRA SCENES AND DO NOT CHANGE THE MUSIC.
GL YOU SUCK!
my answer, original VHS of 4-6 then skip 1-3 but if you insist, watch them
Yeah, I however only caught the first hour of that movie, then at a later date watched the last 30 minutes. So all in all I don't think I missed much. As 'optimistic' as I was about the movie, the 90 minutes I did see was decent enough. *cough*uffishly*cough*
I'm sure if enough of the right people had the will, the means would slowly come in and they'd pull it off. and I would most definitely do my part whatever that may be at the time
First with a petition, then with primary action (voting, rallying (and no, the "protester zone" is not constitutional)) and then finally secondary action.
As another/. member pointed out an error, I am making a formal correction to my previous statement and this is what my final sentence should have read:
"The government is merely a keeper for it's citizens, soon to be or otherwise protected by natural inalienable human rights and its sole obligation is for our collective protection and benefit for the long and short term"
You're correct. Bad choice of words and a lack of using the "preview" button were my fault. I should have more clearly stated:

Well my wife thrashes about sometimes, but that's hardly considered pain ;)
I'm sure if Hitler had thought of it for humans, it would have been recorded for "posterity"

regardless of the repo, the signed binary can't be compromised if the user has the default and correct public key in their keyfile.

If you could fill up your printer cartridges like you could a car this wouldn't be too much of an issue...

I had to look up who Hormel was. It's not like many people actually eat that crap, at least, not in my circles.

I always knew I was more powerful because of my astrological sign. Now I have proof!
Or proof that my life sucks... either way, it's something!

I don't know about you but after this part:

I stopped reading. Take your own stand and don't even listen to this kind of crap coming from known liars and murders.
I hand them cash. Sometimes they give me trouble, 100% of the time I win.

Thanks for turning me on to Eclipse (www.eclipse.org). This is fantastic stuff by the looks of it and the little bit of time I'd actually used it.
