The fact that zsh can't handle multibyte characters correctly was the deciding factor for me, if they ever get around to do it in zsh I might give it a whirl again. bash 2.05b does a good job with my filenames containing utf-8 multibyte characters, so whatever the additions to that code are in 3.0 I'll probably not notice:)
Finally I'll have a decent excuse why that webpage full of naked women was on the screen when my girlfriend walks into the computer room.
"I swear honey, it wasn't me.."
It's not that we don't want to, it's the time it would take, and the time we don't have. There's too many things that we want to do with XMMS, and mostly that ends up as not done at all.
Oh really, people have been nagging about this and that plugin ever since X11AMP/XMMS started supporting plugins. We just can't include everything, and a whole lot of bunch don't fit in the XMMS distribution. It's just a player, not the kernel.

And behold, I made an ass out of myself by not even bothering to read the whole story.

Is it just me that think it's odd that 4Front didn't sponsor with a OSS license for the 2.6 betting pool?
LEAVING vi

I'd much rather see Jeff 'Yak' Minters reply to 'What are you trying to do with this thing that you're creating?'
4096 colors, that would be HAM (Hold And Modify) mode.. Sure, it worked for pictures, but I'd never read text in HAM mode. *brr*
But this feels like something Jeff 'Yak' Minter would have thought of a long time ago. Attack of the Mutant Alphabet?
MAD was ported to XMMS a long time ago. XMMS-MAD

We didn't? It's in the docs, but hey, I don't blame you, noone ever reads the manuals.
