I had one of those years ago but my equipment got stolen. It was OK but took up a lot of space. I was a bike camper and shoved everything into my backpack.
Seems to me if you want to stick to the strict letter of the law, just hand over your crypto key... so the police can decrypt your file... which is itself still encrypted with something else.
Sorry, you asked for Key A, that's what you got, now you want another one? Call a lawyer and start again!
You keep telling yourself that. These wealth creators obviously would never game the system, lie, cheat or steal, right?
And what happened to the amazing productivity we all supposedly have? You know, from our technology? How come if we all are so productive, only a few of us are rich?
Tell me, what is "wealth"? Is it material possessions? Food in the fridge?
Or paper constructs that allow you to game the system?
Yup, but we're talking about dynamic changes, it'll change far faster than it ever has before, and the systems we depend on to survive may not like it.
But hey, whatever, what's really important is creating a society that funnels all wealth to a lucky few while the rest willingly do so and try to kill each other for the privilege.
Drivers are getting fatter and fatter, and the only way to get the car to move at the same speed is by continually improving the car... to end up at the same speed as before.
Correct me if I am wrong, but you can't explain how dark heaters work without the idea of quantized packets of energy, or indeed understand the various sources of noise in tubes.
Gosh, I hope not, otherwise what are all those tunnel diodes doing in my 50 year old scope? Come to think of it, without quantum effects, you can't even get a vacuum tube to work...
"In 1992, after spending two years at Queen's School of Business in Kingston, Ontario, Musk transferred to the University of Pennsylvania where he received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He stayed on a year to finish his second bachelor's degree in physics. He moved to California to pursue a PhD in applied physics at Stanford but left the program after two days to pursue his entrepreneurial aspirations"
By the time he finished his economics degree, he could probably work out for himself that engineering is not the path to riches. Paying OTHER people to do engineering, on the other hand...
Do we also worry that China and India graduate more lawyers? There's a problem here. We accept that technology makes us so productive that a few people are all that's needed to make a world-wide impact, yet we still expect everyone to work.
So we have lawyers, who are protected by the fact every country or state or province has its own laws... Shouldn't we have one set of laws for the whole planet?
We have one set of physics and electrical rules for the planet and look at the power that enables.
But we'll never see a universal legal system, too much vested interest.
Is your car from 1974?

Meh, I wouldn't power the thing.
I'd take a CDC-6600 into my home, just for fun.
It's a PhD for a student. That's the use.
So it's like staring into hyperspace?

You're just paying for the name, it's not any better than the no name volcanoes you get at Newegg.
"posts" would be plural.
That sounds pretty violent.

It's luck until you can repeat it.

Or just the good old phototube.

He's many things but an engineer he is not.

Let's get rid of realtors next. Another bunch of useless parasites.
