Nice to call people trolls, I suppose you consider that to be a high quality argument. I may post as Charleton Heston, but I'm not trolling here. I could be an AC for that.
My argument is sound, and only one person here (not you) put up a decent counter to it.
Vietnam??? I was making movies about MONKEYS when that shit was going on.
Seriously, the US military of Vietnam was a lot different than the US military of today. You can't even say that the US military of Desert Story could have done anything to the US military of today. The current US military is about 5 times more powerful than it was in 1990. It's probably 100 times more powerful than it was in 1975. And put in another factor of 10 times if you go back to 1965.
You've got a squad. It consists of yourself, and the other dorks who responded to my original post. Each man fights just as well as he made an argument here.
OK, I see exactly one dude fighting well. That's you, and it corresponds to your very nice response.
The other guys just shot their feet off. Them's mighty slim odds.

The Second Ammendment has been neutered by the shock and awe of the United States military forces. Haven't you been paying attention? What the hell does anyone think a bunch of rednecks with guns can do against that?
Sorry to rain on the gun lover's parade, but this is reality. A citizen's insurrection to correct the misdeeds of our government cannot stand up to our professional military. Fantasizing about it while you watch "Red Dawn" with your redneck friends won't change reality.

Don't install BASIC on those computers. God, why repeat the mistakes of the past?
Put something that won't damage them for life. Better than BASIC are:
-Logo -Python -one of those programmable robot fighting games where you write programs to control fighting robots. -Even LISP would be better than BASIC -Pascal
Satellites won't go bezerk in orbit if they're not built in a clean room. Especially a beeper like the one you envision. You've got your horse before your cart too. When you build this thing, how are you going to get it into orbit? For that matter, when you build this thing, how are you going to get it out of your basement? The satellite and mounting hardware and mating ring to attach to the rocket are not going to fit up your stairs!
Anyway, just in case you are the next Werner von Braun, I wouldn't like to be remembered by history as "that guy who treated a genius rudely" I will answer your question. Remember the train conductor who was wrongly blamed for making Edison deaf when he actually saved his life? You know what I'm talking about...
Take a look at pages written by those who paint their cars at home in their garages. To get those nice smooth paint jobs there can't be any dust around.
I think Wine is an excellent piece of work, but I'd imagine even the Wine developers would rather have native Linux applications than emulated win32 apps (and if they don't, they should).
This is doubly true for game development, where you need every CPU cycle you can reasonably get.
Point one: Wine Is Not an Emulator. Wine Is Not an Emulator. It's a native Linux library that implements the Windows OS calls.
Point two: Since Wine is Not an Emulator, and is in fact native, it's just as fast as the Linux stuff that is written with the UNIX API.
That ship was carrying 2,500 tons of high explosives. That means a 2.5 kiloton blast. That's about 10% of the Hiroshima atom bomb. I hope those lifeboats have powerful outboard motors attached, because they need to get at least a mile away quick.

A little story to illustrate:
There was once a lawyer in a town. That lawyer didn't have any business, and he nearly starved to death. Then one day, another lawyer moved to town and there was more than enough business for both of them.
Children. Don't worry about how much your computer uses, it's nothing compared to the resources a person uses.
Do everyone a favor and stop at one kid.
Someone's going to mark me as a troll here, but what I'm saying is the truth. Not many people want to hear it though.
Obviously someone is too drunk to select the right moderation option from a fairly small list.
Feel free to wax your bikini line though, big fella.
Empire. The original one written by Walter Bright. Even the two retail versions by White Wolf (Bright's game company) were great.

That's a reasonable and well-tempered reply, thank you.
Read the article. Speciation has been observed in the wild and in the laboratory 5 other times this century.
Evolution is a fact, not a theory. A description of our understanding of how it happened is called the theory of evolution by natural selection.
And the theory is a completely uncontroversial one. The only people agitating against it are hardly scientific.
Wilbur died from typhoid, Orville died from a heart attack.
I apologise for the interjection of fact into this forum.
