    You'd have to ask the GCC people. Either Microsoft have patented their language extensions, or the developers don't think they're worth it.

    Of course they can. They just can't copy code verbatim (the clue is in the name--copyright). Doing so wouldn't be useful anyway since presumably the code for Gcc and Visual C++ are very different.

    Incorrect. You can make a package yourself and ask for it to be uploaded into the Debian archive. Assuming the package isn't completly broken then it will be accepted.

    Firefox getting it right 100% of the time coincided with a change in the way the left hand column looks (it's wider), so I guess the site admins fixed the HTML that was being generated.

    I mean, come on; the point of playing a game is THE GAME. Goldeneye didn't need any voice acting at all to make it the best console FPS ever. Conversely, I don't give a shit if EA's latest 'game' has or hasn't got Sean Connery doing the voices.
