    Wow, are you ever wrong. Shaw and Telus share NO infrastructure. Only place you might see them using the same wiring is inside a customer's house: Shaw customer with phone services or Telus customer with television services.

    Yes, in 1956. And they had a day or so of freedom in Budapest before the Soviet tanks came in a crushed anyone standing in their way. Some accounts say the American President promised to send in relief and supplies by air. But it never came, and the uprising failed. Shame. My father's family is from Hungary, and it was always sad to see our former country suffering under communist rule.

    That's pretty naive. Microsoft doesn't indemnify its customers against lawsuits either. At least with OSS (linux) you can look at the source code to determine for yourself if there's any infringing code. Windows? Who knows what's in there?

    The wiki isn't very objective. Right at the top in the brief biography, is says: "She is also a SCO whore." Fact? Perhaps. But then under her picture her name is mis-spelled as "DilDio" - an obvious reference to "dildo". Yeah, really mature. This is the kind of crap that makes the wiki less than useful.

    If you were to take your television and put it on the sidewalk, in front of your house. It still belongs to you (you paid for it) and not anyone else (they didn't pay for it). Yet if Jil Smart shows up and takes the TV, she has not stolen it, because you put it on public property, and in doing so you relinquished your property claim.

    And Windows only costs $200 (+/-) if you can get somebody to patch, update, and clean off the occasional virus for free. Oh yeah, don't forget the cost of the obligatory anti-virus protection programs. But then again, those free AV programs are "good enough", right??

    It also says a lot about the potential damages that might be awarded. Awards for proven financial loss is about the same as the US, but punitive damages are much, much less.

    What kind of monkey police do you have there that would arrest somebody for such obviously flimsy charges? Unless the guy was *really* causing a disturbance, I would be very surprised if the cops did anything more than give the manager a annoyed look, and then leave.
