    Not just but the point being that OSX is non commercial because it's got some BSD in it, or maybe that makes it commercial. Then Ubuntu is commercial because Dell sells it or what about RedHat? Why is this important?

    Money is still the deciding factor. A 20 year old can be paid less for their wages and it lowers those group policies too. I think they could care less about skill and want code monkeys instead of an old codger that can write tight code. No one cares these days.

    Yep they built their network for two users and now have 1000. This is not just the iPhone here. This happens with Verizon too and guess what they don't have it.

    That's where both of these companies should have put the money that taxpayers gave them to run fiber. If they didn't have to do civil engineering (burying cable) they would be fine. More data than ever can be run down old fiber. They never put it there to start with.

    Alltel turned the bandwidth down on the tower next to my home after they added more users advertising the same service. They ALL should be sued.

    People not wanting to punch the number in manually happens all of the time here at any store. They have never been taught how and probably can't be taught. If a company want to provide better service then they have to spend more money training and later paying their employees but they can get buy with less people that way too. So I don't see why we can't have cheap prices and quality service at the same time. The wrong people are in charge but we are back to serfdom now, so there is really not much that anyone can do about it. The execs still get bonus if their company fails, right?

    Voyager? Wasn't that the worst one of all? That machine should have been a little more banged up at the end but yet they had even more resources than when they started out. I know trek is BS but damn the same stories over and over get old after a while.

    Let it die for a few more years at least.

    I agree with you 100% but that's how the ones in charge want it to work, unfortunately unlike real bookmakers, they don't have access to all of the variables involved and never will unless we change the rules of the game.

    Isn't that too bad that the Mafia could probably do a better job than the ones in charge of the decision making as of now. Investing money is gambling that's not supposed to favor the house but the investor. The odds of winning in Vegas is probably higher than winning in Wall Street right now. You can look at all the graphs and formulas you want, but I would like to see even one that can predict the future with any certainty.

    True, back in the old days, 30% got you the loan. It didn't have to all be in cash just some stuff that a solid value can be paced one on (land) plus some cash that you have. Something that you can get a value on works. Cash is good. It discourages house flipping and things that no formula should be relied upon to judge. The banks that didn't do this (local banks around here) are doing OK.

    AND.... yes it should be shut down period. Financial markets as such are more complicated than predicting weather models. They can and should be simplified.
