I wrote a far simpler version in VB6 ages ago as a quick tool, and I'm releasing it for free now in case someone finds it useful.
Benchmarking your domain names is sensible if you're thinking about changing them. This tool grabs multiple domains seeded from Google against your own DNS server and 19 other domain name services. Redirection and caching info isn't shown however I'm looking into adding this.
What?? In the UK it's £56 - or nearly $100 from most garages!
You're a danger to the road without an "MOT", and if you forget, or fail to get your check done; its £1000 fine or $1657. Oh, and they check with ANPR cameras too.
You Americans should really think yourselves lucky, and get your car checked - please don't be a danger to others on the road.
My point was; it's not just limited to applications; nor just limited just to Twitter. Twitter was simply an example. A lot of websites have this usability problem with DHTML popups on Netbooks because of the limited height.
It's not just applications either - the feedback form on Twitter is fixed height and scrolls with the page; you can't actually click send on a Netbook without reducing the font so you can barely read it.
It's sad that webdevs seem to have forgotten screen resolution.
Of course you can, just install DownloadHelper addon for Firefox. But the thing about Flash being a crapfest is spot on.
Agreed, though this doesn't work with BBC iPlayer, shamefully. Which just won't run very well on a Netbook at 800mhz (which is normal speed on battery). Surprisingly, this is one time I've seen where Flash under Linux does it a lot better than Windows!
Can the poster of this article code?
"Because nobody uses Flash for navigation"? What BS is that? Flash navigation no sweat. I can code great usable navigation that is SEO friendly using SWF Object. This also means providing ways for people with iPhones and what not. All completely user managed and dynamic and updatable through XML or a CMS.
I can also deep link any site so that custom URLs all work within it it, and Google will wonderfully grab all of the content. I can make full screen Flash, hybrid Ajax/Flash, simple Flash components. I can make a Flash site that runs perfectly in all browser for all dimensions.
Your website implies otherwise. Especially in eLinks.
I still don't get back the pre-awesomebar behavior. When I type in a partial URL, it still shows me matches based on the text of the web page, not just the URL.
I've not tried this myself, so I can't confirm, but under about:config (or wherever you are changing it), check out: Browser.urlbar.richResults, browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped and/or browser.urlbar.default.behavior - some of this can be changed as easily as from Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Location Bar.
Have you tried this extension?: Old Location Bar 1.8 - seems just what you're after really. Oh, and if you haven't already looked, the Mozilla KB is a nice place to start too.
Or I guess you could just downgrade or hack it out the source yourself? I really hope that some of this is some help! I hate it when apps change to something you don't enjoy! =)
Are you saying that as of firefox 3.5 it is now possible (which it wasn't in 3.0) to easily and completely disable the awesome bar? If so then (a) please tell me how to do it, and (b) the fact that it's such a well-kept secret how to remove it shows that there is a problem with loading this much bloat into the browser.
Yes. It's about:config, then set "browser.urlbar.maxRichResults" to ZERO. Simple enough?
It's also illegal to tint your car windows too darkly as someone could have a gun and the police wouldn't be able to see it. I've seen people get fines for their windows, I've never seen a tinting shop get in trouble.
It's usually legal to have a heavily tinted back window, since some vans don't even have a back window. At least in the UK there is a percentage allowed opacity for the front windows only.
Agreed. Email your local MP (http://www.writetothem.com/) I've created a petition too, but it's not live yet. I'll reply when it is.

Sith Peter Mandelson has carefully ignored the Gowers Report and the Carter Report, instead taking the advice of his good friend David Geffen (Dreamworks, Geffen Records, previously Warner too) - announcing that 'three strikes and you're out' will become law in Britain.
This is the same "minister" who was forced out of office twice for misconduct, he has no place even being in public office, especially if his views are not unbiased; especially given two Governmental reports to the contrary.
This law is unconstitutional and doesn't account for users with insecure internet connections who are abused and requires no court intervention. European has even considered this a abuse of human rights if it goes forward. It would not be surprising to hear of DCMA style complaints being made, even wrongly, and ISPs would be forced to disconnect users without any proof.
The Open Rights Group has, of course, hit the roof. Oh, and never mind MI5 and the police pointing out that widespread encryption will become normal, hampering their efforts to keep up with little things like impending terrorist atrocities. Still, it's worth it to stop a few Lily Allen tracks being shared, right?

We already see this with air craft today. When a pilot goes on a bombing run, they don't fly the plane, it flys itself. Its route has been programmed in to the on board navigation computer. The plane lets them know when they are near the target, and when to signal for bomb release.
That'd be a simulation, not a "realistic space" game.
You're asked to enter TWO words; one known; one not.
From: recaptcha.net:
But if a computer can't read such a CAPTCHA, how does the system know the correct answer to the puzzle? Here's how: Each new word that cannot be read correctly by OCR is given to a user in conjunction with another word for which the answer is already known. The user is then asked to read both words. If they solve the one for which the answer is known, the system assumes their answer is correct for the new one. The system then gives the new image to a number of other people to determine, with higher confidence, whether the original answer was correct.

It's quick and portable though, and free way of benchmarking your DNS. Screenshot here too.
What next 7 foot lizards are real now?
Yes.
Think you're mistaken; they've only got four feet.
These lizards are also known as the triple-dicked lizards for good reason. So... the total count is 7.
If your penis looks like a foot, you've got problems. If it is a foot then, uh, my email address is on my profile =)

here its only $20, and only if you pass.

"pimp dien handy mit MTV"
I learnt from Stephen Fry that this means "Pimp your Mobile Telephone with Music-Television"
some guy is trying to impersonate Xzibit in German
But that, I have no idea about.
FOXNews or experts-exchange, I won't even click on it.
Actually, experts-exchange is really useful on Google. Use the cached link and scroll to the bottom of the page. There's the answers.

Sorry, I presumed you'd drawn the arms as one long line and was referring to his penis.
so be careful with your erotic stick figure drawings, hard to tell the age of a circle and 5 lines.
Wait, FIVE lines? Queer!
Depending on the jurisdiction and if that person did murder someone or not, you may actually be guilty of Negligent Homicide.
Or if that person did murder someone from TV's "The Hills" or Paris Hilton, you may actually be guilty of Negligible Homicide.
Or if you murder someone in a pink girly dress, you may actually be guilty of Negligee Homicide.

They never accepted my petition (surprised?)
but I have recording a audio Twitumm describing what the hell is going on here, as have a few others.
It's all listenable/downloadable/streamable on Twitumm.com

You are paying too much for your SD cards...
No, we're paying too much for MS Duo cards.
This sucks eDonkeys balls!

If we can't get hold of this books to check legality of laws, how do we know that copying this book is illegal?
Well, as an informal poll - me too. So that's two. Believe me. We do exist (and have trouble finding a partner)... This is way off-topic isn't it?
