Just check out these screenshots of the movie "Dark City" 1998 ( http://galeon.hispavista.com/cinerama/actu2/matrix darkcity.htm )
Also you can see Neo in his previous life @ "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure"( http://us.imdb.com/Title?0096928 )
Just substitute San Dimas for the Matrix and George Carlin for Morpheus. The phone booth and Keanu can stay the same.
For the kids homework, artwork, photos etc.A buck a page(color), open all night, nice laser printers that they maintain. Plus they have a wysiwyg previewer that faithfully prints what I upload to them. Of course I miss the thrill of watching my stack of "test" prints grow on my desktop, but I temper that with all the beer I can buy with the money I am no longer waisting on ink.
PS- I do not work for Kinkos
I agree with the virulent part. Has anybody else had the axcitement of waking up their desktop to see a field of blue REALPLAYER icons scattered around,or found that your media file extensions had been mysteriously changed to ".RP" even though you carefully avoided the default installation. Whenever I'm faced with having to re-install this product I get the feeling I'm about to drive into the used car department at a large dealershp and I slowly back away.
Ha! I loved that part too. It reminded me of the press conference where Hollings was going on and on about "Checkbook Politics". Is it just me or does anybody else picture Foghorn Leghorn whenever Fritz blurtz?
Try DOGA(http://www.doga.co.jp/english/).You can paste together dozens of shapes to make 3D vehicles and mecha that can be simply rendered and put into short movies. Level one was free, level 2 was $50, and the website talks about a level 3 but I can't seem to find out what happened to it after beta.
Also ALICE (http://www.alice.org/) is a good intro to Python that lets you design your own worlds and move your creations in a variety of ways.
These two programs kept my son busy for hours.
Anybody else here old enough to remember the Apple II+ with the DVORAK/QWERTY switch right on top of the keyboard? Before that I had a IIe that I switched with a jumper on the MB. But when you rearranged the keys you were left with a lumpy keyboard because of the pitch of the top of the keys are different row to row, which I guess would still be the case today now that I look at my current keyboard.

Q. Why did the Scots start wearing kilts?
A. Because sheep can hear a zipper a mile away.
That man's father is his father's son.
