wireless in cars would be a great thing for internet radio stations. Why would anybody listen to anything else? Also wireless net in cars would likely lead to an increased use of voice recognition apps and also voice instant messaging(like on yahoo. Maybe it would even cause voice email to take off.

well the good thing is that unlike many cable companies, the telco's are offering DSL to resellers. So you can buy DSL from about 100 companies in say dallas, even though there are only 2 telcos that provide the lines. If only cable where forced to openly compete also.

i have a better idea. Share movies. When you get a letter tell the cable company that you have a bunch of reviews of movies on your computer. Tell them that these are public domain files. It is your habit to title these reviews on your computer with the title of the movie they review. I call it the "nobody here but us chickens "defense.

well on live 365 only the cheaper acounts pay the 5 bucks. The others for larger broadcasters actuallyhave to pay the real CARP fee. Of course the 75 $ a month broadcasters can also sell thier own ad space and not play live 365 ads. Live365.com only pays CARP royalties on songs by artists signed up with carp. If you have a NON CARP radio station, then that station does not create any CARP royalties. They will still have to pay the 5 bucks though. The 5 bucks does not cover the CARP royalties on many stations, just offset the cost. PLEASE if you have a nn CARP station, advertise it as such...hell SPAM it..this is one type of spam i would be GLAD to get in my MB.

well then stop supporting them. Every time you buy a record from a big company you put oney in the RIAA's pocket. Write letters to small labels , indie music magz and the like saying we will buy no corperate media. Hell right letters to sony and BMG too, maybe they will get the hint. If people can be shamed into veganism and not wearing fur, maybe they can be shamed into NOT buying shitty music.

can you imagine if all the idie artists sign for this? It will basicly increase the gap between indie and corperate. most net radio will be indie and it will abound. Indie music will become popular and then the corperate world will have to change to their model to compete!

umn the science behind the adkins diet is RIGHT ON. In fact as far as removing fat from a persons body nobody is really saying it does not work. Now as to keeping the fat off and improving long term health that is debatable. The diet by itself(if followed) is the most effective diet for most people to shed fat. HOwever a simple diet without muscle increasing activity(resistance training) will not improve long term health. Of course frankly to improve health without a diet, via activity only, is likely doomed to fail too. Also adkins is NOT a fad diet. They studied for a long time to create the plan and ketogenic diets are used (Esp in sports) a lot. Fad diets are more like the cabbage diet, celebraty diet, juice diet , etc.

  18. Re:The studies have been done.. by interested part on Scientific Battlegrounds in Diets · · Score: 1

actually adkins is no carb for a while then very low carb, then low carb( what dr. adkins calls a healthy level. The no carb part is only for the initial weight loss. I think most people do no carb for less than a month. I might ad that ANY diet that does not include weight lifting is likely to fail. You lose 1 lb of muscle mass for every 3 lbs of fat. This reduces your overall metabolic rate.

umn as a person with a hormonal disorder(not thyriod though) I can tell you that this can be a bad thing. My hormonal disorder made me gain a little fat(and it is mild) but treatment works, just not over night. Some doctors are reluctant to treat people with thyriod or steriod hormone replacement EVEN if their levels are lower than they should be for a person that age. Get involved with her treatment and see if she is geting enough hormone. A lack of thyriod hormone will cause severe fat increase among other health prblems.
