that is funny...i dropped out of college...lack of funds. I make more than a lot of people with BA's and at every job I have ..I have a few work for me. If I had an 18 y/o son I would not tell him to go to college. There are FAR better career paths one can take that are paid training. One example: a friend of mine started working as a plumber when he was 18( well a helper) by the time everyone else( well not me) was just getting out of college with 100k of loans to repay he was licensed MASTER plumber making about 60k per year with 0 loans to repay. As a master plumber he really did not have to touch a tool, just hang his license on the wall and answer questions when other ( younger) guys needed help. by age 29 this cat had a house halfway paid for and was a plumbing inspector making 6 figures. I bet he works less hours than most guys in IT do for the same bread.

first off a cooperative system is not needed. However the JUDGE should be ( at least prior to conviction) an advocate for the defendant receiving a fair trial ABOVE ALL OTHER THINGS. Not advocating the defendants case per say, BUT carefully scrutinizing the DA and the state for any injustice. This is why you have a judge in a criminal case- to protect the rights of people against the tyranny of the majority. Once a person is convicted, the judge should be there to insure punishment that is fair, just and considerate of the state and victimns interest. Secondly practicing law is one of this country's highest priveledges . A lawyer( DA) who violates those ethics in a way that risks a citizen's freedom should have his/her license revoked in all 50 states FOREVER..ZERO TOLERANCE. Same for cops.

ok i work in retail management. And although many /'ers think people in retail are mindless dolts, lets look at this case. First the GM at that best buy store is no college kid. He makes 100,000 per year PLUS bonus. He likely has a degree and 10 years retail management under his belt. For a guy like that to make such a bad decision is beyond the pale. The media attention from this will likely get him fired. Of course in retail you have many "Scammers" trying to beat you. Any one of them does not cost your store much, BUT if you feed them( give them what they want) they will come back( in numbers) and break you. Plus the calls to home office usually cost you money( or ranking points that amount to money/job security). Although I think it was likely a bad decison KUDOS to best buy for backing this guy up. This is because some shady , small provider pays a certain amount to the apt complex for an exclusive right to provide cable. It is simply ripping off consumers + they usually do not have the better(newer) features. This should have been outlawed 10 years ago.
