Try OpenGroupware, it doesn't have these problems (except IMAP email, for which it has a simple web client). I recently had to compare them both for a company and OpenGroupware was better in terms of stability, implementation and community.

It misses Knowledge Management (but has already a bugzilla request) and forum. OX's KM module wasn't very useful though compared with OGO's request.

The only drawback we saw for OGO it's the language - Objective C, but it has a nice way to use xml-rpc requests so we can add java or php functionality over it (forum, if needed). OX it's a mix of Java, perl and C.

To all who agree with Blizzard: I think you are right a little, but still why not try to replicate what you see if you don't steal any code/graphics? Your replica might be worse or better. What if the first automobile company tried to shut down any other initiave to make automobiles?

What about OpenOffice vs. MS Office? Their names are similar, they look a lot the same, Open Office can read/write MS Office files. Should Open Office be required to change names, UI and support for MS Office files?

  15. MS might get better than open source on Microsoft to Clean Up Code · · Score: 1
What many people forget (and still think that MS sucks at programming) are the huge resources they have. They could always hire people not only to implement features, but to do auditing, code cleanup, API documentation, testing, things which are missing from a lot of OSS development.

Instead, OSS developers do what they like and don't cooperate. I can't blaim them for this, I'm very gratefull for the libre software they write for free, but without cooperation MS will win.

See the Too Much Free Software article (and it's comments). There are a lot of examples of programming hours which could be better used ( latest one: ephiphany vs. galeon )
