  1. It seems entirely plausible and rational to think the media IS in fact 'out to get' Facebook. After all, the media, for the most part, is all about ad money, and Facebook is siphoning off traditional media's ad money by the billions. It could be argued it's irrational to think the media ISN'T out to get FB.

BCH has NEVER gotten anywhere close to $19k, BTC has. There are other places in the short summary where I had to stop and think if the author was referring to BTC or BCH. EDITORS TAKE NOTE: YOUR JOB IS TO FIX THIS SHIT.

The sub could only drive at max speed with all four diesels running, two driving the props directly, two supplementing the power by first generating electricity that was then fed directly to the motors on the props.

Also, once the bomb is dropped, it will be accurate even if the whole GPS system went down.

You are right, the alternator does always spin at the same speed as the engine. When extra load is added to the system, however, the voltage regulator senses a drop in voltage. It then allows more current flow to the field coils in the alternator, since the armature (sp?) is now spinning the same speed, but in a stronger magnetic field, addional rotational engery is converted to electrical energy. This coversion of rotational to electrical energy is seen by the engine as 'drag'.

  14. Re:AC draws more power because of compressor on Hydrogen Generating Module to Help Your Car? · · Score: 1

The alternator supplies power on-demand. Once the battery is charged the alternator only puts out a few amps of current, mainly to run the computer, ignition, etc. The more accessories that are turned on, the more current the alternator must supply, the more rotational drag to the engine. There is no 'rest of the power'.

The important thing to remember is the current install base. They don't need to innovate, only keep the differences in performance/features small enought that the hassles of switching are greater than the benefits. Many places (like where I work, UPS) are MS B****hes and it would take something VERY VERY major to convice them to go elsewhere, even if MS has a vasly inferior product.

This is a common misconception by the average consumer who does not educate him/herself. The current refrigerant (R-134a) does not destroy the Ozone layer. DO YOUR RESEARCH!

The beauty of the matter is this:

If the American people WANT to hear Jon Stewart, the polls will show that the networks can make money with his AM/FM talk show. Ergo, the networks will see that as a viable option. Don't think that he DESERVES a spot on talk radio just because you think he is funny or raises some good points. If enough people like him (ie, he raises some good points of debate, etc) then he will eventually get a spot on the media of his choice. Don't get caught in the trap of thinking that if he doesn't get a spot on some large media that it was because there is some big conspiracy. It wasn't. It was simply because not enough people wanted to hear him. Trust me, it doen't take more that a few million listeners to make a show profitable. Thats only a few percent of the population.
