MMORPG are based of chance. When you swing your weapon, there's a certain chance it will hit, certain chance it will crit, and then the damage is random as well. When I fight someone, i could easily have my weapon crit 4 times in row killing the other guy. Or i could have my weapon miss 4 times. Whats the skill involved with that?
"Everquest was a good internet connection and a complete lack of a life..."
Time isn't free.
"It seems that Sony is turning on their major client base...risking alienation and mass defection...so why would Sony embraace such a controversial move?"
All MMORPG have a way for players to turn real cash into game cash. Even though this practice maybe banned in the TOS. It is still happening on a massive scale. Has it affected the game play? I really can't tell.
They used to have their own chipset and it sucked(speedwise and feature wise) compared to the VIA chipset that was out at the same time. AMD doesn't need its own chipset now since Nvidia makes a really great chipset.
So now i can really screw my competitors. Hire a bunch of people to click the adwords on my competitors website while pretending to be my competitor. They in return google sues me or should i say my competitor. Then my competitor gets hit with a big lawsuit and I win. Thats such a great idea. Thats almost as good as getting your competitor black listed off the search engines by buying links to them on link farms.
Use overture, since the only fraud you'll get with overture is your competitors clicking your ads. AdWords has both website owners and your competitors defrauding it. I run both adword and overture, and my conversion ratio off overture is more than double that of adwords. I keep adwords around because even with the terrible conversion rate, there lowered ppc price evens it out in the end.
Its violation of a contract. Websites who host google adsense have agreed not to inflate clicks. If the guy wasn't greedy and instead just hired people to click adwords on the google search engine, google would have no case. Since there is no contract between using google search and the user.
When fraud moves overseas or using zombie boxes and advertisers get pissed and start suing google more often. Google is going to be in world of hurt. Pay per click was destined to get frauded just like pay to surf was. Google and overture need to switch to a flat rate fee. A per sale fee solution won't work either because that will get frauded as well by the advertisers by under reporting sales.
2 Bundling agreements to get as many PCs as possible pre-loaded with Office, particularly for business use. These agreements contained strong financial incentives (in the form of discounts on Windows licensing) for offering consumers only Microsoft products and not any competing software (believe me, I know, sayeth the AC;). This was also illegal.
Thats not illegal. Intel does it with Dell, sells to dell. Lots of companies do that.
As for #1. I would believe that, if there wasn't a plethora of 32bit applications at the launch of win95. They were handing out the SDK kit well over a year before launch for free at all the MS conferences.
Umm.. The market has been going down if you haven't noticed. Microsoft being flat is good thing, they aren't declining like every other stock out there. Competitors to ms are declining, take a look at apple stock recently they dropped nearly 10 points in the last two months.
This has nothing to do with MS profits, it has to do with market demand. People want to use to use sql2005 express and.Net 2.0. But with the current licensing agreement, you can't use it for production stuff. How do you expect microsoft profit to go up if they aren't charging for the license?. Golive license. Please take your fud elsewhere thanks.
Out of curiosity how many Third party apps do you need to run in order to use IE, if you even need them?
I use Microsoft AntiSpyware with real time protection off, so it scan at 2am everyday.I downloaded BHO Demon. Only BHOs i have are acrobat, google toolbar, google desktop(didn't know this was a bho), and a seo tool i downloaded.
We could scream and fight all day about which is the better browser
I'm not arguing which browser is better, i'm just stating that browsing with IE doesn't infect you with malware, adware etc. I've never been subjected to drive by installation. Reason people get infected with adware is because they download stupid 3rd party applications like limewire and bearshare. Or why the people get infected at my office, they download stupid free card games or p2p software.
I don't know any reputable websites that try push adware, malware, backdoors on users. Please prove your point by posting a url to a site that tries to do a drive by installation. I've asked for this many times in past, and yet no one has produced it. I've used ie for 5 years and yet to get hit by a drive installation.
Its worse than, only way to get the patch is to download a nightly developmental build. Security fixes are released in new versions, last update was 1.1. Claiming firefox gets patched frequently is wrong, because there are no patches only new versions.
Umm. Until 1.1 came out, only way to get a patched version of Firefox was to download one of the nightly builds which had implemented the code changes to fix the security issue but also had development code. There are no patches for Firefox. Fixes to security issues are released with new versions.
Umm why are you buying your equipment through the consumer channel? Dell's business channel gives you access to US tech support and gives you the ability to negotiate prices on purchases which you can usually get them to throw in onsite warranty for a year or two.
I can buy dells with a 17" LCD monitor and keyboard/mouse for $350. Toss on whatever linux distro and it is "immume" to viruses and spyware. The same setup is over the double the price for an Apple. But thanks for playing.
You're funny or illiterate. Maybe a little of both?

Got mozilla version confused with firefox version. its actually 1.0.3 is latest, or mozilla 1.x whatever.

How many people under age of 18 have been charged as adults and are serving adult sentences?
You probably can't get this deal in europe but here it is anyway. Dimension 3000 P4-2.8GHz Desktop w/ 17" LCD.
But what if wanted my blue tooth to work? As stated in the features that tiger adds file transfer over blue tooth. Paying for bugfixes.

Another $129 to spend on some minor features additions and bugfixes. God I love apple.
