And he kept doing it anyway. I don't believe a word the bastard says. Hell, if the asshole get's whacked tomorrow, I wouldn't beleive the obituary. If I saw the fuck's corpse maybe (and provided it wasn't disfigured - I've listened that episode of The Shadow.)
I've thought about it, but unfortunately,/. doesn't let you change your nick (expecially since I have come to the conclusion that not only is my nic lame, but I've changed my E-Mail addy since then.
There's a House Committee (or sub-committee or something like that) on Intelligence. The CIA and various intelligence groups have to come to them to justify their spending. There are somethings they don't have to disclose (identities of agents), but otherwise they basically have to tell the Committee what they're doing with the tax-payers dollars.
However, these meetings are classified, for obvious reasons (if there was a real CARDINAL in the Kremlin during the cold war, I don't think the the CIA would want the KGB knowing he was there, because then they'd try to find him, and if he was really, really lucky, they'd just shoot him in the head and be done with him).
Like many other people, what got me introduced to computers was games. Specifically, my first was Star Raiders for the Atari 800. My first CRPG was Gateway to Aphasai.
I'd say it'd suck, and I wouldn't see it, but it still wouldn't be in the same league as the Prequels (more along the lines of "Manos").
Now, if Oliver Stone decided to drop the game and do a movie "Scarface 2: The Return of Tony Montana", or a Prequel, "Scarface: The Cuban Years" that'd be accurate (especially considering that Oliver Stone has gone to crap since the 70s and 80s, just like Lucas has, to some extent.).
Yet Ben Affleck gets criticised up the wah-zoo over Daredevil. Yes, his acting was wooden in the theatrical cut of that movie, but apparently he was and is an enormous fan of the comic. The director's cut was better, IMHO, anyway (we get a lot mroe Nelson and Murdoch scenes, and the Biker Bar fight scene is extended).
Some good trailers do mean that the moview ill be good though: Teaser Trailer for "The Incredibles", Trailer for "Once Upon A Time In Mexico", trailer for "Bad Boys 2" (yeah, it's not high art, but it's a fun movie, and Martin Lawrence and Will Smith have great chemistry on screen).
And this, class, is a form of what we call a "strawman". You see, the grandparent post was referring to George Lucas having the right to make Star Wars movies how he wants. Parent, on the other hand, is putting forward a strawman (creating a position and attacking it), by putting forward the analogy of a the decendant of the creator of a work of art changing of a series his ancestor created. There is a difference.
I can't get the image up yet, but if it's the one I think it is, the light-sabers in the pic are before the glow is composited onto them.

I don't know. I'm seeing a trend of big directors leaving the DGA. Lucas left before he made "Return of the Jedi" (the Director's Guild had a fit over not having opening credits in "Empire"). I'm not sure Francis-Ford and Sophia Coppela are members. Ditto for Quentin. Now Robert Rodriguez has left too.
I bet that if more directors realize that they'll get more artistic freedom we may see a break from the guild. Ditto with writers and the WGA.
Either that, or the rules will get a serious colonoscopy and enema, the leadership of both guilds get a serious housecleaning, and hopefully ($DIETY willing) things will be better for filmmakers and audiences.

Bugmenot's passwords aren't working at the New York Times anymore.

God and that Global Warming is not necessarily a bad thing.
I shop here myself. Great prices, and they've got shoes in my size. (I've found shoes in my size hard to find, generally).
How is this related to the article? Are you saying that it was a bad thing that Infinium lost?
Because they're rigged so the psychics don't win. It's all part of a secret government conspiracy to launder money, ya-see. ;-)
Not to mention they do a great job of keeping the heat out. ;-)

Antic Magazine! I remember that! However, when I got starated with computing it was on the Atari 800. I never really got to use the ST.
The u is silent.
I bet you stop listening to bands once they get radio play.
Insert comment involving Natilie Portman and grits here.

I didn't know you had a thing for pregnant women (even if it's not-pregnant women posing as being pregnant).

True, but Star Wars-bashing (and especially prequel-bashing), tends to take a large volume of posts, and often gets modded up.
And why didn't he just shoot Gandalf with the Golden Gun (since magic certainly didn't work).
I have to agree. There are worse movies than the prequels.
