I just got a Fuji S5000. 10x optical zoom, and has all of the manual controls available if you want 'em. $400, Best Buy had 'em for 10% off with no shipping.
There was all kinds of mean, nasty and ugly-lookin' people on the bench there --there was mother rapers--father-stabbers, father-rapers! FATHER-RAPERS Sittin' right there on the bench next to me!
And they was mean and nasty and ugly and horrible and crime fightin' guys were Sittin' there on the bench, and the meaniest, ugliest, nastiest one--the Meanest father-raper of them all--was comin' over to me.
And he was mean and nasty and horrible and all kinds of things, and he sat Down next to me. He said, "Kid, what'd you get?"
I said, "I didn't get nothin'. I had to pay fifty dollars and pick up the Garbage." He said, "What were you arrested FOR, kid?" and I said, "Litterin'."
And they all moved away from me on the bench there, with the hairy eyeball and All kinds of mean, nasty things, till I said, "And sending hundreds of thousands of unwanted email message...."
And they all came back, shook my hand and we had a great time on the bench Talkin' about crime, mother-stabbin', father-rapin', --all kinds of groovy Things that we was talkin' about on the bench, and everything was fine.
A regular wireless keyboard, and one of the wireless Gyroscopic mice. With a little practice, you can operate the mouse mid-air well enough for desktop work/demos. I wouldn't want to use it that way for FPS gaming, but they typically have a ball or optical unit as well. We've got a setup like that at work (Logitech on both), and it is fantastic... as long as you remember to drop the mouse in the charger at the end of the night.
So make it a "feature" by somehow providing much more localized GPS like information...
Hrm. Would a ping time over a 802.11 type connection be "accurate" enough to get an accuate distance measurement? Perhaps via triangulation from multiple APs?
Yeah, not like they did it before. Remember how the Quake3 test release was Linux first, then Mac, and finally Windows? Or perhaps the native Linux Quake2 binaries? Or even the native Linux Quake/QuakeWorld stuff?
Sarcasim aside, I too am glad that id continues to support us Linux gamers, and I plan on paying my $$ as soon as it is available.
Proceeded through, and I finally came to see the very last man. I walked in, Sat down, after a whole big thing there. I walked up, and I said, "What do you Want?" He said, "Kid, we only got one question: Have you ever been arrested?"
And I proceeded to tell him the story of Alice's Resteraunt Massacre with full Orchestration and five-part harmony and stuff like that, and other phenomenon.
He stopped me right there and said, "Kid, have you ever been to court?"
And I proceeded to tell him the story of the twenty-seven 8 x 10 colored Glossy pictures with the circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of Each one--
He stopped me right there and said, "Kid I want you to go over and sit down on That bench that says 'Group W.' Now, kid!"
And I walked over to the bench there, and there's--Group W is where they put You if you may not be MORAL enough to join the army after committin' your Special crime.

Until the parts you need are starting to be made of unobtainium... but that is for true restoration. You wanna make a kit car? Lots of fiberglass body options for old VW pans...
What with the license changes for XFree86, the various new X implementations, changing distros, etc. has NVidia come out and said which one their drivers will work with?
I used CUSeeMe (not even maintained since '97) quite a long time ago to connect to a netmeeting reflector server and to Win95 netmeeting clients. Worked by selecting a chunk-o-desktop as the "camera" area, and it broadcasts whatever is in that area as the video signal.
Remember the poster(s) not too long ago who would post the "complete article text in case of/.'ing" and then subtly replace/add words in the actual text? How'd you like to get your news that way, and not even know it?
A few of my former coworkers and fellow students now work for this little company called Medical Manager. Last I spoke with one of the people doing programming, they do like to use various OSS tools and languages, like Python.
As far as F/OSS software itself, dunno. Like others have posted, there is TONS of testing to do when someones life or lab results are on the line.
Nope, '65 Porsche. VWs are the same too. Ignition isn't fused, it just goes thru the ignition switch to the starter/etc. All lights, horns, etc. are fused though...
Ok, so what is the state of LCD monitors for gaming? Having dropped my CRT at a LAN party last weekend, I went shopping at best buy. Most of the displays on display would show trails/fade/video lag with fast moving anything on the screen... Not what I'd like to be looking at while fragging away.
Do the US banks only use username/password pair?
Worse... some (like one of my local credit unions) require that your username is your account number, and your password *has* to be a 4 digit number.
Before you drop you cash. Remember the HCL from hte early days of WinNT?
Just spend the $40 on an external serial modem and you'll be good no matter what OS you use (just about... do Macs have serial ports?)
+1, underrated
i'll see your 166/48 and lower you to a p75/24m (praise debian stable!)
Well, it would be in the Future, but you'd need to learn how to use at least 2 of the 3 shells...
My just-purchased Fuji S5000 takes 5 shots in just under a second on one of its settings... Great for pix of the baby eating, etc.

Even more important, will it know how to get to Melrose after 2am week days and 11pm Sundays? /Gainesville Native...
And if it were, it would be a straight. Or at least have a pair hiding in there.
As I often said while playing poker with friends "They are all under 9 and none look the same!"
Until the parts you need are starting to be made of unobtainium... but that is for true restoration. You wanna make a kit car? Lots of fiberglass body options for old VW pans...
Anyone know if NVidia or ATI is going to be involved with this? Sure would be nice to have stable drivers for 3d acceleration from the get-go...

... doesn't use chips you insensitive clod! (actually, it can run without any fuses installed as well...)

One of the exceptions is the "public place" law. Take & post all the pics you want at a parade, the mall, etc.
