Yeah, but they may have had lenses from their film cameras... that seems to be one of the major big selling points for a professional/near professional grade digital SLR.
Sure, but how much of that source do you read/audit? Do you just check the md5sum of the source package? That could be faked, just as well as a "bad" pre-built package could be put on a FTP server, etc.
... just like they are asking. And if the servers/etc. are really paging/calling/messaging you wiht problems on a regular basis, ignore them. When the PHB can't get his email, explain to him that you woulda known the server was down or there was some other problem, but since you can't use your phone to monitor (which BTW you've been happily paying for out of your own pocket), you had no idea there was a problem.
Present it like this, especially while various things are not working due to the fact you can't get the notices, and most likely they will either provide an alternate means of monitoring (alpha pager like someone else mentioned above) or allow you to continue to use your phone just for that purpose.
And if they do allow you to use your phone, perhaps mention again that you've been paying for it out of your own pocket...
Gee, I thought that's what my Bosch distributer does... guess firing at 5 deg. BTDC at idle and a 35 +/- 2 deg. at 3500 rpms isn't quite variable or complex...
When does an announced or heavily marked release date become "contract like", for example, "Longhorn will be released 1/3/2009" as opposed to using something like "when it is done".
Funny, the college I work at has the Academic Alliance thing... so our students get like just about anything MS has for $25 total, but only if they are majoring in the ITE fields.
I would think that including outlook express (even instead of teh full outlook) would've been good. Also, a quick comparison to one of the free webmail systems like the hotmail web interface would've been nice.
No worse than having to pull the engine on my Porsche 356 to replace the #3 spark-plug. (Using Weber carbs instead of the factory Solex or Zeniths, no room to get a tool in there to access it).
Of course, while the engine is out, I get to do all sorts of stuff to make it Better, like changing my starter bushing, checking the solenoid, starter brushes, adding a hard-start relay, cleaning everything, etc.
Wouldn't a dyndns account be easier?
Complaining about either his depression or the relative size of his computational power to the types of tasks assigned to him.
Required comment regarding my flying car, or lack thereof.
Do what I'd do - sell it and buy a real Porsche. :)

Sorry it took so long. Page is SFW and post-meal viewing.
I work for a rather large community college...
I get 2-3 weeks extra paid time off for the winter break. I get spring break off - paid. I also get my normal paid time off, sick leave, etc.
I get free classes,as does my wife, and eventually my 2 kids. Good state benefits for health/dental insurance, etc. Reserved parking.
Oh, and having the campus filled with hot co-eds isn't so bad either... just remember to look but don't touch (wife's rule, not the colleges).
And my dual AMD rig makes a nice space heater.

Actually, I told my boss I couldn't take call, etc. because I have no cell phone or beeper. He promptly provided me with a nice alpha beeper.

The Quake 3 demo first launched for Linux, then Mac, then a week or two later win32.
Quake 2 always had native Linux support.
Quake/QuakeWorld had Linux support really quick after release - and that was nearly 10 years ago.
Seems like all of id's titles quickly have a Linux port, not only for the server (like Half Life) but for clients as well.
A simple 4 stroke engine ... variable cam timing, complex variable spark timing,

Pete, Repeat, and Ditto... At least it is semi-interesting.
Also, this is a good use for those old 486/low end pentium laptops too... keep trying to get some to work on for the VPA dept. at work.

Like others have said.. A qualified inspection will be best, just as if you were buying a home.

of course. And the poster above is right about D&D or other role playing games. Heck, there were THOUSANDS of people to socialize with at GenCon!

Funny, but Darwin has an x86 port.

We use that here at work... nice little apps, they have clients for Win32, Mac classic and OS X, and Linux
