Of course, it could also be written by a complete idiot.
Or someone in HR. And usually, only tech-savvy HR people looking at resumes are likely to know that C, C++ and C# are related, meaning the HR drone will tell the hiring manager he/she can't find any qualified people, even if they've looked at plenty of resumes from people with plenty of experience in C or C++.
We're more likely to have a world where you come to work, take a pill, work for 12 hours and accomplish the same amount of work as you do now in 36 hours--suddenly only having 24 hours in a day isn't a limitation any more!
Gotta keep increasing productivity for Wall Street!
Oh, they DO ship data overseas. Some accounting firms are having people in India prepare tax returns. And I don't think any company is drawing a distinction between having code created or manipulated overseas and having data created and manipulated overseas--it's all ones and zeroes that can be easily moved around the world where it needs to be.
Don't be making us mad, otherwise we'll start calling canadian bacon FREEDOM bacon! That'll teach you to mess with the U S of A. Oh, and that Gordon Lightfoot song "Canadian Railroad Trilogy" will be called "LIBERTY Railroad Trilogy." So there!
...then, shortly after, the Apple board votes unanimously to invade a small computer shop in Sunnyvale, CA. New Apple board member George W. Bush was quoted as saying the purpose of the invasion was to remove the evil tyrant who charged him $500 for a motherboard.
Sounds a lot like what Orange Micro used to sell for $500 or more--an entire PC (with Intel chip or Intel knock-off) on a PCI board you could put in a Mac. I used to have one.
Doesn't look like they're selling them any more, though. There's probably not enough of a market, and doing emulation in software (like Virtual PC) is cheaper and more flexible.
Not just brand. Try convincing people who have complicated Excel spreadsheets (with macros and fancy formulas and stuff) or Access databases that OpenOffice will do everything they need and that it's worth the process of switching over.
Even on my Mac at home, I'm having a tough time convincing myself that an $89 copy of AppleWorks is good enough when I'm used to working with Mac Office 98 (even though I hardly use any of the Mac Office features on my home computer). It's like MS Office is the software equivalent of crack.
Now it looks like a million-seat football stadium

"Well, judging by your husband's cowardly screams, about 180 miles an hour."
(Just thought it was time for a new Simpsons reference)
Nobody ships data overseas. Just code.

Coming soon to Slashdot: the nazis would have won if they had Superman.
Solution to that problem: Call from a pay phone in Elko, NV. Tell them you're Bill Gates.
