Yeah, I think there is very little demand for video phone. Video requires too much attention. When people are on the phone, they are usually doing something else. Watching TV, on the computer, dishes, something... Nobody wants to spend time on the phone and see someone. Granted, there are uses such as people who never get to see the people on the other end. But I don't think that actually seeing people adds anything to the whole phone experience.

If you think you want coverage in case of a collision, then you pay for it yourself, and when something happens, you go to your insurance company, and they pay you the money. It doesn't matter if your car was parked, and someone drives over it with a humvee. If you don't pay for insurance to cover it, insurance companies aren't going to pay for it.

If they are going to go through the trouble of making their own format, and making it open, then there must be a reason for doing this, over using ODF. Why would they go through all the trouble to think up and XML based document format, and release a spec, when they could just go ahead and implement the ODF spec? If the format is going to be truly open, then why wouldn't they just implement something that already exists. Obviously Microsoft thinks they are gaining something by creating their own spec, what it is, I have no idea.

However I've found there are good uses for it, and it can make code a little cleaner in certain circumstances. It doesn't pop up very often, but it can be used as a proper method of coding. This is less of a problem in the US, where there is quite a bit of water, at least in most places. It's even less of a problem in Canada. So much so, that I would hardly call it a problem at all. They say, per capita, that Canada is the (or one of the) largest users of water. Well we got a tonne of it. We can't really do anything else with it. I guess we could sell it to the americans. But they aren't hurting that much yet. You probably wouldn't even have to replace the entire unit, just parts in the tank, to be able to make them dual flush. Urinals aren't where the problems are with water usage.
