He had the stones to sign a pledge on TV not to take soft money, Hillary did not.. She ran in NY because it is a Leftest state. 99% of Republicans who win office in the state are RINO's. Including Guilianni (who I would vote for because he is a leader, but hes no conservative).
The only good I took out of Hillary getting elected in two thousand is that while Gore pounded Bush in NY by I think about 2 million votes, Hillary won by well under one Million. One Million people went and voted for Gore and Voted against the Pinko.. lol I cant wait until 2004 when she breaks her promise and runs for the white house, nationally she cant win she would take NY, CALI (maybe), Mass, Hawaii, Ill (Maybe), and probably Vermont. The rest of the country can see here for what she is...
okay bumblefuck your right: moors law should have had to hold up to optical computing, and different technologies. That fucktard newton was wasting his time as well, after all we found exceptions to all the laws he created in extreme environments.
Blah, Blah, Blah.. I am so sick of this crap. its not the first time in US history someone has lost the popular vote and ended up in the whitehouse. we are a republic not a democracy. The fact is if Gore had wanted to count all votes instead of just in three or four conties from the start (and not only after it was clear that those counties alone would not have been enough) he may or may not have won.
BTW seeing he wanted to throw away late Military ballots because the armed forces tend to be more Republican shows he was no more interested in counting every vote than Bush was.
Not if you look beyond the example, its not great I will grant you but what I am saying is if someone defines a law (say that matter cant go faster than light), and someone else later goes around that law (so by a wormhole, or bending space, or whatever) it does not mean the law was incorrect or still does not hold it only means you found another faster way to get from A to B than by Linear acceleration.
Moors law is transistors on a Si chip, if we change media or technology it does not mean Moors law is wrong, it means were not useing the technology or material to which it was reffering.
Coming from a country witch Napoleon called home (both a dictator and an utter idiot for selling use the LP for chump change) who the hell are you to talk you cheese eating surrender monkey...
Fact is not only did the US drag Europe kicking and screaming to republics from kingdoms, we then promptly dragged your sorry butts out of two world wars (well ok I wont count WW1), so one world war and protected the west from the Soviet empire.
As for W being an idiot, he seems to have wrapped the UN security counsel around his finger. Under Clinton they sat idle for years while Iraq told them to shove their resolutions up their rear, and within two years in office Bush has got inspectors back in that nation.
He also got more than half the Democrats in the House and most of the Democrats in the Senate to vote for giving him almost everything he asked for in regards to Iraq. Don't get me wrong I have serious issues with the mans "homeland security" nonsense but to call him an idiot shown little knowledge of the facts.
But saying moors law is not a law **because** if you change the technology or material it does not hold is like saying I can get in a plane and go 500mph, so the 55mph speed limit on the highway is not a law....
Seeing as morrs law was base on the technology of the time, and as the way around it is not thoutgh transistor density on a Si chip but on different materials/technologies it is a law.
saying its not a law is like saying I can get in a plane and go 500mph, so the 55mph speed limit on the highway is not a law....
Actually I think what people generally refer to when they pull the moors law card is the quantum effects you get as you make transistors smaller (e.g. 1000 electrons behaves like ten groups of 100 electrons, and 100 behaves pretty much like 5 groups of 20, but when you get down to single digits the behavior is totally different).
As transistors get smaller fewer electrons are used to trigger it, but when the number get low enough that the quantum behavior of the electron is a factor the current model can not be expanded any more..
I dont know why dont you use the **COMPUTER** youre on to do some research with software developed on other **COMPUTERS** to find out why the demand for Si based devices is so high..
Kinda like someone driving to an environmental protest in a yukon..
yea, materials science is going to get even bigger in the next couple of years. I should not have changed from Chemical to Electrical engineering;).
I dont think semiconductors are going anywhere any time soon, because there is no viable technology that I am aware of to replace them. When we see an alternative form of processing born we can start the countdown to the end of semiconductors.
I did a paper a while back on Optical based systems using optically controlled polarization rotators, filters, and the like to do binary and trinary logic but the loss and size of such devices is huge.
Because that would defeat the point of Gun ownership in this country. You cant compare two different nations because in addition to having a different culture they have different problems, and desires.
I dont want the Government to know what kind, or how many guns I own, its not their buisness so long as I do not use them to deprive another of their rights. The second amedment is there for a reason, and to those who are trying to make it as useless as the 10th is not, bite me.
Was Clinton elected by the same industry that elected Bush?? no they reward and punish different industries. When I say we put most money twords buisness I ment because in the end we elect our leaders (if were dumb enough to be led by tv adds (ie not watch the debates), and to never consider a 3rd party we are getting what we deserve, it is not the fault of our government.
I am tired of people being apathetic about elections, if you can get 20% of those eligable to vote to vote for you youre going to win that simple. Ross perot pulled more than 15% of those who voted in 92, Ventura won the MN governership as a thrid party.
more on point the highest sales tax in the us (again this is state+county+city because the fed has no sales tax) that I have seen in 8%, I have heard that the highest is 8.5% this is far less than the 22% EU VAT tax.
-Regards
Could be im not really a country boy so I dont know for sure. I think it applies to both, but more so twords the Music industry because downloading music is already illegal.
Kind of the difference between putting half your money into a "sure" stock and putting all of in into one, your doing something legal but greed will get you. Where as dling music without buying it is greed period!
Agreed the music industry need to realize you get more with honey than you do with vinigar. Instead of lobying for anti consumer laws they need to give me a reason to buy a cd (not give me a reason not to dl music).
I dont buy CD's and when they shut donw napster I stoped DLing them, guess what I dont buy any more CD's now than I did then because I am not getting anything I cant listen to on the radio. What they need to do is include things with the CD's that are not easily digitally sent (like a poster, or cupons for concert tickets, a key chain,...) just something people might actually kinda want if they are a fan. Something like that (or if any of you have better examples) might make a CD worth dropping 20 on.
three years ago geeks noticed how much we are only tolerated by the music industtry, even when they went after napster the average person who does buy alot of CD's thought it was no big deal but they were at least made aware something was going on. When the copy protection that would not work on some computers and CD players came out more people noticed and I suspect you will see more and more of this as cheap cd music mixers come out (the sony thing I think) and people want to create custom CD's but can not copy due to CD format.
Note to the music industry, hogs get fat pigs get slaughtered..
Well in the US it greatly depends on what state you live in. The federal rate for me is around 30%, the state rate in NY is around 20% and in my new home Minnesota it seems to be about 10%.
Now if your in the US and youre smart you incorperate youself (its legal and, imho, ethical) to protect youself not only from taxes but from liability. There is nothing you can do about youre income under this plan (that is income from your job) but you can protect yourself from capitol gains and the death tax on your assets..
I beg to differ, states here (not the fed impose a sales tax (8% in erie county NY for example is very high). If someone here proposed a 22% VAT tax there is no way they would get elected. Look at the 1984 Election in which mondale told the people he was going to raise taxes (he lost probably the worst or second worse election in US history).
The reason Americans put their money twords making buisness happy is because at least 70% of americans work for a buisness, and pay income tax. Personally I would be for eliminating all buisness tax and impsoing tariffs on forign goods (but thats just me)..
Yea I tried to install AOL on teh Lindows OS and it did not work, he needs aol for the dial up I cant convince him to go with another ISP for that. Thanks for the sugg though..
I think he is suggesting you use it after someone rips you off (ala put up a similar item and hope he bites again..

Clinton had just as many guns, and used them to bomb factories in the Sudan and tents in Afganistan, one is a leader the other was not..

Well not we have the technology for size, now they can create the architecture.. I dont see what the problem is.

umm whats wrong with ogg, I would prefer to use mp3 if it was under the same license as ogg. we need to support open standards.
