But I do expect others to believe, I dont want to come off as an 'im ok youre ok' type because they are mostly gutless wonders afraid of conflict. I dont think that *I* can convince anybody, but it is my duty to share with them.
Now its your right not to believe, and I would go so far as to say an authority figure in the school has no right to push religion, but we should not punish students for coming in and expressing their beliefs (whatever they may be) to other students.
As for as the whole 'youre a bunch o mental midgets because you believe in God/Jesus' its a bit tired, as someone working on my masters in engineering I know how science works (Im no Einstein but I would put myself in at least the 95th percentile).
I dont need the Bible/am not a Xtian to give me comfort and make all the really hard to understand things go away. Quite the contrary I find I put much more effort into understanding the workings of 'secular' science (if there is such a thing) than most atheist/agnostics put into trying to understand Xtians.
Final point, religion is garbage Jesus himslef was hated by the 'religious' of his time, and had little for empty prayer (read in tradition withouth heart and mind). Being a Xtian is about having a relationship with Jesus, not about going to church and being a good person.
Did not mean to rant but 5 years at liberal 'be a xtian in your room alone'. and 'listin to everything i say or youre an intolerant right wing nut' schools has made me a bith bitter..
I dont think the problem would be finding a layer to take on God (as they all think they are God), I think the problem is where is God going to get a layer in heaven?
I have yet to meet the person who writes coed on a computer manufactured without the help of a corporation.
Or do you manufacture your own ic chips, wires,... to make your own computer. In the end if not for corporations we would not have MP3's cause we could not afford to manufacture computers.
Hey sparky if it was not for capitalism mp3s would not exist in the first palce.
This is an aweful buisness decision though, they should just licence hardware manufactures who produce mp3 walkmans. People pay upwards of 150$ for them and if you tak on a 5$ license they are not going to stop buying hence you really do not harm the growth of MP3
But when you start charging for the software to produce mp3's thats another matter I listin to them in my computer, and Ill be damned if I am goung to pay when I can just use another format (never heard og.ogg until today but I will look into it).
I am assuming that this is not a retro active license...???... ne1?
Hey both of you morons, I was only kidding. Point is that most people will not be affected by this. I am sure a disproportionate number of./'s will be but I got news for you 99.999% of ppl dont care..
The problem is my uninformed friend, bushes faith based is done on the same grounds as everyone else, if not its even harder.
An organization must demonstrate what it is doing for the community (drug counseling, food pantry, etc..) before it can recieve government dollars. This is more than many charities must do to recieve government dollars.
I am against the Bush measure because I dont trust the government to not use this money to pressure churches to tote the PC line later (like in canada where Christian Stations cant say Homosexuality is a sin on the air).
lol gotta love the lefties. Do they really believe this crap or do they say it to sound like an activist.
Fact is if you live in the USA you are rich, poor here is rich on more than three quarters of the earth. Now that youre one of us 'privileged' im sure you wont mind giving up more than half you salery in taxes (which 75% of wich go to social programs) to help the less fortunate world over. or are you really one of those people who think you have it bad.
Hey chuckles, red hat is free and open too. and Bullshit corporations produced the hardware youre using, the telecommunicaitons lines youre transmitting over, and probably the car you drive to your corporate job (most people either work for a corporations or work for a company which does buisness with a corporation).
Dont we have it bad enough being in the same market with M$ than trying to pick a fight with all corporations.
Youre missing the point, RPMs will rise and fall with how people use them. I like them because I am a newb. Now I have had problems with them but I cant even get my damn cadet radio card to work so its probably my fault.
Anyway the point is this: if tommorow every software provider decided to use RPM it still would not hand redhat a monopoly because its an open standard. Meaning that mandrake, suse, redflag, whatever can impliment this standard in their own system.
The comparision to.doc is stupid because unlike MS, redhat has not/can not move to keep competitors (and in the buisness world thats what other distros are) from impleminting rpms in their products.
So long as a Linux distro complies to open standards (and that includes developing new techs like RPM's) other Linux distros can use their innovations.
Like the guys does not have enough to do providing the *FREE* forum than to listen you to bitch about a dup article that you could have freaking ignored..
Damn, if it bothers you that much make your own damn site...
as a PFY myself, I was hired because I knew how to solve a problem (my previous job and education) was in Engineering.
You should look for that, not only do they know the man command, but that they know how to in a systemmatic way disect a problem. Finding the answer is easy if you know what the problem is.
Trying to explain that to tree hugging americans is hard enough (they all blame bush for Kyoto though in our system of government treaty ratification is the job of the senate). Much less trying to explain that to a 'I have the US because I am so enlightend' euro.
The have nots always hate the haves, no matter how many WW's we pull them out of.
Atcually FVWM I think would be a good choice. You can give them a clank desktop with only a clock and I cons for Mozilla/Netscape, AIM/MSN/IRC/YahooMess, Office, whatever.
Click the icon and you get the app, make it easy to use. If you go with gnome or kde you can intimidate the computer illerate.
I would have to disagree, the girl did nothing to cause her situation, this guy is a darwin award waiting to happen....

IS that where I went wrong last year..... sigh
Someone buy that girl a lotto ticket, better yet have her buy me one..

No just free reading time (i think it was the 6th grade).
I stubbed my toe this morning, this will have an effect on a total of one more person than the end of sony betamax...
Well I was suspended once for bringing a Bible to school, is that seperate enough for ya chuckles?

Probably because no other vendor provides the support and training that Redhat provides..

Class warfare is the choice of the bitter.

You can run the 'clinet' inside of a VM on the firewall but that is kinda resourse intensive.
You half wit, one had nothing to do with the other. If for some reason it was a Airbug going from boston to LA that day it would have been an air bug.
Another case of 'I hate american becasue im so damn cool'

fvwm is not that bad, fvwm2 on the other hand... cringe...
Exactly youre talking about a 1000$ licence plus a huge fee per PC to connect...
