They were found in his pockets. He has been known to use such notes since he was a boy. How is wasting their time by solving these going to further the investigation? I imagine had he the time to encrypt them naming his killer in such a way, then he would have just written out a description of the killer, assuming he didn't know the killer. Which he probably did. Most likely it was some suspected illicit activity and they are hoping that he has information for something else in these messages.
I'd bet it's little more than a sub cypher of some type, given his education and the recurrence of letter patterns in the first note.
Let's say a vehicle drives 10 miles per day round trip. That trip takes 30 minutes, of the 30 minutes 10 is spent idling in traffic. How will this system account for the fuel wasted at idle?
I don't think this is truely an attempt to tax anything. This sounds more like a big brother move to me. Imagine, bill passes and we are now taxed by the miles we drive, well they have to monitor that, so we will need a device in our cars that can send that data to them. A system like this just seems rife for abuse. This is worse than the kid that found a FBI gps device on his car.
Call me a tin foil hatter, but I don't want Uncle Sam knowing A) my driving habits, B) how often I drive, and C) where I go. That is privalaged information and my government has no right to it.
I realize that military attire regulations have changed to allow personnel to carry their pagers/phones, but seriously why did this idiot have a cell phone during training exercises?
Back in the day we had Napster, then Kazzaa took it's place, anyone remember HotLine? We had LimeWire, Morpheus and every other P2P app under the sun, one would shut down and others would spring up. Since PirateBay and other torrent sites only host torrents not actual files how is blocking them going to stop others from reposting, or passing around these torrents?
Seriously these people that want to block illegal file sharing should at least take a night class or something so they actually know what technology or sharing methods are used by those they wish to stop.
An investigation into a similar discovery in January 2010 yields no results after all 200 NASA employees and contractors who had access to the area in which the cocaine was found tested negative for the drug.
Doesn't mean someone isn't selling it. "Never get high on your own supply."
Crime will be there no matter what. People will find ways around it. Look at all the cameras we have, doesn't stop crime, locked doors, don't stop crime. They are all just deterrents.
You can't tell me you have never once chuckled at a/. troll post. I have seen some that were very funny. Few and far between mind you, but it wouldn't be the same here or anywhere without trolls.
I agree with some of your logic. Ass-hattery in a game should not be tolerated no matter what. On the other hand a ban say from VAC where you can no longer play MP games is one thing, it's an entirely different thing when the user is banned from every aspect of a product that was purchased. That is equivalent to blatant robbery. Unless somewhere in the ULA, or TOS it states they can ban you in entirety from the game.
Sounds to me like if it is as reported and the user was banned from singleplayer, he may have grounds to sue. That would be like buying a new car and because you posted something about Ford, then them killing the engine and you not being able to use it again. So at any time my purchases from EA could be terminated? Will I get a refund if I'm not allowed to use the software I purchased a license to use?
Hopefully it is like 1st poster stated and is just a random bug and not something EA has done. Given their history though, I wouldn't put it past them.
But I'd be all in for required DNA for felony convictions. Sounds like with them trying to get this under the guise of "it's like a fingerprint" they are fishing for other crimes that can be attached to the arrestee. I'd be interested to see some data regarding the number of felony arrests vs the number of felony convictions in that state.

Perhaps backwards?
Hate the game not the player.

I think everyone has done this, and they did it yesterday.

Yes because occupying existing property is faster than waiting a few thousand years for an island to form.

I dare say in my 13 years of IT, I have replaced far more worn out UPS batteries than I have bad PSU's.

Why if they were in Florida were they taken to Cedars in CA?
The phrase "wield a penis" appears in it.
