Hopefully you got to party with all the good lookin ladies in college.
Ok, now I'm more depressed...
a desk job is so much easier on your body
True, but with a boss that likes to point out 'You should be glad you have a job at all...' on a regular basis, the mechanics job is starting to look good.
I could have just taken that job as a mechanic straight out of High School and built my skills up to the point that I could be making good money in the automotive industry rather than spent all those years and all that money in college to get to the same point? I'm feeling a little depressed.
Hey, let's face it, it's not just the choosen few at the tops of these companies that cause this. They are just boosting profit margins so that all the greedy little folks that are in the stock market will buy their stock. I think the old saying 'You made your bed, now you lie in it' comes into play here, and as Americans, we've made a number of lousy choices. The bonus is for the rest of the world, who are making money off of the bad choices that we've made.
And the RIAA members would make a lot of money if they embraced the Internet and P2P.
And they probably will embrace it, right after they have made all the money they can in court. And, while they are dragging everyone through court, it gives them the time to develope their own business plan for the internet and P2P world
Do not use around public restrooms, unless you want a truly public restroom.
Although, this is one step closer to the transparent aluminum from star trek. Are we sure he didn't get the idea while in San Fran, possibly out there for a wedding or something??
Yes but they obfuscate the fact that it can be uninstalled, and it causes the OS to Break at times if it is uninstalled and it interferes with other media players functionality. Everyone (I know, gross generalization) knows you can change the radio out in your car. If I remove the stereo from my car, the engine isn't going to quit, the transmission isn't going to fall out, and the seats aren't goin to break. If I get something fixed on the car, the wires on the new stereo don't get cut and the old stereo doesn't automatically get re-installed.
Um, Linux doesn't have a media player of it's own (I may need to research that statement) but it does some bundled with media players of various sorts, from various sources.
I have no Problem with M$ peddling it's ware's, and I also realize that many of the other pieces of software aren't much better. It's the manner in which they peddle their ware's that has landed them in court a number of times, because you only have a choice about what is installed if you are above and beyond the Joe Average User stage of computer use. Many of the consumers out there haven't even made it to that Joe Average User stage and consequently don't realize they have a choice.
Which, I would think would include the original Windows Media Player crapware.
The problem is that they are installing their own and excluding the others, so they are trying to make them either offer everything, including the competitors, or offer nothing, including their own. At least I think that's what's happening.
I don't know, it's seems to be doing pretty well as it is... Don't assume it's a terrible existence just because it's different from the norm.
I'm sure that if you or I were thrown into an existence like that it might be unbearable, but things would become easier as we learned to cope, these frogs, as well as some humans, have never known another existence, therefore it isn't so unbearable to them.
Or maybe you overhear them repeating an idea that you know you formulated, but they're repeating it to somebody else and taking the credit.
I'm most amused when they quote my idea back to me a few days later, and try to take credit for it. It usually provides at least a couple minutes worth of entertainment.;-D
then, everything Carbon based would owe a license fee, granted we would miss much if the IC industry, but we could nail all the users of the IC industry.
Hmmm, where's that number for the patent office...
Well, yeah, probably, but that just shows how idiodic this is, since they would only need one set of drives to search for the information they are after. On the up side, I'm always willing to help the government (any government) show it's arse.
This is a good arguments for redundant systems, and think of the adverts, '...and for when the government decides to search our hard drives at their facilities, we keep a second set running just to keep you on the web.'
OK, OK, there are links, but they were the same colour as regular text in my browser, and I was too lazy to look at it really close. Maybe I don't need any help being lazy, actually, I'm not sure I could improve my lazy stats at this point.
I spent quite a bit of time yesterday looking for this information, and here it is. Your creppin' me out. And B. wheres the links? I mean hey, if your going to help me be lazy, don't do a half assed job.
I hope they get rid of the people that do the billing when Cingular takes over, I don't want to deal with that crap any more. Man I thought I was rid of AT&T and the monthly calls to them to complain about my bill.
Pleeeeaaasssse! They will probably work out some deal where if they were fined 3.2bn or 32k or whatever, they will hand over a certain amount of software etc. to pay the fine. BTW, said amount of software will probably be the same no matter what the fine is, M$ has a way in inflating the price of their software. Of course this will be done under the guise of improving the school systems or gov. offices etc. and of course with increase M$'s market share and give them a firmer grip on their monopoly. I'm starting to think M$ likes getting sued.
Whatever the case, this will be interesting either way, if corroborated, a lot of new theories, etc., if not they will end up with tatoos labeling them as crackpots.

Ok, they want warning about things popping up in their ma... Hmmm, that doesn't work either...
And they probably will embrace it, right after they have made all the money they can in court. And, while they are dragging everyone through court, it gives them the time to develope their own business plan for the internet and P2P world
Actually, the wealthy people you speak of (...like the CEOs of the beer/wine/liquor companies?) made a lot of made a lot of money on prohibition.
"...soooo, why don't you come over to my place and I'll show you my Telescope..."
The sad part is, they will actually mean it, I know, I've done it. But this one would be really cool, at least to me it wood, er would.

there are adds running in peoples dreams.
The one guy from the past is complaining and the others ask how they advertised in his time.
'BillBoards, radio, TV, loudspeaker, busses, snailmail, email, telephone, buildings, sidewalks, flyers, t-shirts, hats, underwear,.... but never in our dreams'
here's another to add to the list...

Otherwise, I suspect they are SOL.

Who's got the odds on this bet?
