Bill's problem is that he isn't interested in hot chicks, fast cars or fun for that matter.
Personally I think this is the cause of many other problems he and his company have.
I never got the whole big deal about "The Land of The Free". What's so "free" in the states that isn't in any other western country (Canada, Germany, U.K., Sweden, The Netherlands, France, Denmark, Iceland, Belgium, etc.etc.).
I travel a *lot* and personally I feel more free and more save in Europe then I do in the states, especially in my home country The Netherlands. And that has nothing to do with the 11th. I've felt like this for years.
Oh btw my favorite country in the world is still New Zealand.
Finally a good idea. The music industries should learn from this. And it's not ahead of it's time. Well at least not in my country. As a Dutch citizen (Dutch people life in The Netherlands, extremely small country from an US point of view) I'm fortunate enough to be able to choose from a wide variety of affordable broadband connections (cable, xDSL) from a wide variety of providers. Most people of my country have the option to get such a connection. Trading movies is very hot over here as it is in other European countries with broadband connections like Germany. A lot of people leave Kazaa running 24/7 on there PC's. Also students "abuse" there high-speed campus connections (often > 100 Mbit) to host ftp servers full of movies.
For all these people downloading movies the legal way for such an affordable price is certainly a great option.
As a big movie lover I will still want to buy high-quality DVDs. For the occasional not-to-great-flic I used to rent DVDs but now I can download it for the about the same price. And have it fast.
Maybe in a few years you can buy your own Mega-Deluxe-Dual-Laser-3000-Denta'Flexa on tellsell, batteries included. Could help save on those insurance bills.
Oh wait I live in The Netherlands. Dental work is almost free overhere. Would be fun though.
In the Netherlands it was called Greenpoint. D*mn that technology sucked.
I remember KPN (dutch phone comp.) getting McDonalds to support it. So when you where near one of them yellow-Ms-on-a-pole you could use your phone. Suddenly a small number of very geeky people needed to make very important phone calls while eating BigMacs. Imagine how cool they must have looked. Those where probably the same people you now see walking around with headsets attached to there Cells and 2 pagers cliped to there belts.
1Bn? Correct.. Huge market? I'm not sure. How many of those 1 Bn has Internet access? From what I've seen on TV about India I guess it's not that much.
Amen.
If I was an ISP user in India I would certainly look for an ISP how doesn't implement such filtering or indeed bug my ISP about it.
This would probably spawn a bunch of proxy like services enabling users to browse Yahoo e.o.. They would have to filter on application level to stop that kind of traffic or maintain a big dynamic list of proxies. Not very practical.
If an user wants it, he or she will find a way.
I've got dips on The Beyonder character. GOD-mode! Let's rock!
Good point. But with 1 billion it's hard to tell if they are after your money or not. But should you really care?

Dude... does it take 1 billion dollars before you will even consider the possibility of a Ménage à trois?
What if I tell you it's possible now? Call 555-get-a-ego and learn all about it this amazing opportunity!
I would build my own army and rule the world!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA he he.... euh? one billion is not enough? Crap. Could I rule Columbia instead? That's where Shakira lives right?
If you have 1 billon$ you don't need whores. You will attract b*tches like hotmail attracts spam.

I'm going to try it now! I will post my results here in a few minutes.

I've learned to wag my tail when I was about 8 years old.

You probably visited Europe in the 80's.
