No, you don't look like a giant douche for complaining. I think the original poster was responding more to the tone of the summary which seemed... angry that they even attempted something to conserve energy.

I don't think its a liberal/conservative thing, but I do think its a great example of you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't for the government. Had they not changed DST after it was proposed the environmentalists (or rather those wanting to conserve energy) would be complaining, "The government never does anything to even TRY to conserve power!"

Someone had this idea. It didn't work (surprise, surprise) and now you have people complaining, "I can't believe you even TRIED this?!?"

So I'm very sorry that you had so much additional work to do and your company lost so much money, but if it helps there is probably an environmentalist somewhere who is smiling... or at least frowning less.

Demos, Xbox Live Arcade Games, and a few trailers (300, Fountain) in 720p, it all adds up. I don't think I'll need a new hard drive for awhile and hopefully I'll be able to clean up some space in the future, but unfortunately they do all add up.

I definitely agree that this elite is not really worth the price, but they still have the other models available, so I don't see how this could hurt them, per-say.

I was as surprised as anyone at how much I enjoyed the Achievements MS included. When I first heard of it, I thought it was pointless, and agreed with Sony that it doesn't evenly compare gamers' abilities. But I started playing, I started getting a few gamer points, and wa'la; like Pokemon, I had to catch them all (little did I know I suck at gaming apparently, and have a less than steller score). STILL though, it was an interesting addition to the console world. If you cared you paid attention, if you didn't care you didn't pay attention. It worked perfectly.

I'd like to spout off about how Sony is ripping off MS's idea (after initially badmouthing it) but ya know what? Good on Sony! It can't be anything but good. If you like it, use it and play around with it. If you have no interest I'm sure its not going to bother you at all. I don't think people will pick up a PS3 for this feature, and thats exactly why its a great idea, its a little bonus-added value to users who might be into this sort of thing.

Seriously... how dumb of a point is that? What they should've pointed out was explosions etc in space, even then though I think you could argue if the camera is set up in a ship, another ship explodes, you might hear a rumble as the shockwave hits the ship with the camera in it.
