Um, no it doesn't. The links you click through can still carry information which uniquely identify your session. This information is captured by the servers, processed, and provided back to Google.
If you aren't on Facebook you can't keep track of friends putting up junk involving you. It is possible on Facebook to tag or make comments about people who are not members.
And if you're on Facebook, there's nothing stopping somebody from tagging you in a picture, but just not linking that tag to your profile or posting incriminating things on their/other peoples' walls.
Of course, there's also nothing stopping people from doing the exact same things on their own websites/blogs/books/magazines/any other type of media.
However, by not joining Facebook, you are not providing that company with information in an organizable fashion. Sure, somebody can post your email address or phone number on a wall, but unless I'm mistaken (which is entirely possible given FB's policies) that data in the wall posting won't be translated to FB's phone number or email address data tables (which then are easily sold to marketers or anyone else wanting that information.)
Fedora has one of the best PPC32 communities I've found. The only other option I've found was Debian- Gentoo was one option, but that PPC32 community seems to be less than 10 people. Otherwise OpenSuSE's dropped PPC32 and finding versions for either Ubuntu or Slackware is a herculean challenge
What I want to know is, how much soil depletion would occur now that the manure isn't going back into the fields as quickly? I've also wondered how much depletion would occur if we converted switchgrass and other leftover farm products into ethanol.
You do realise that these flash traders are increasing liquidity into the system, which results in a smaller spread, right? That means that the buyer spends less money and the broker gets more money than would be possible otherwise. For proof, just look at how much spreads have decreased over the past 30 years.
I refuse to buy the media in an inferior quality for an inflated price. Perhaps that's why I'm the guy who still buys LP's and CD's. Why buy songs for $0.99, encoded at 320kb/s when I can buy the whole CD for $5?
The GP is not making an argument for careful engineering, he's making an argument for risky cutting edge engineering.
He's not saying YOUR laptop should fail after the three day warranty, because that's not the requirements or what a consumer wants from a laptop.
He's saying a 90 day lifetime rover should die on day 100 having a 10 day safety margin and not a six year safety margin.
At the time, the spirit (so to speak) was for faster, better, cheaper. But we didn't get faster or cheaper from rover, we got better, just as usual.
The reward for dying on day 100 after a successful mission would have been to launch more rover and more rovers.
The punishment for lasting six years is that we've sent no more rovers up there. And the next rover is not the size of a toaster or trashcan, it's the size of an SUV and will be canceled.
Instead of grabbing the public's attention with a series of rovers, we've bored the public to death with the same version of Johnny 5 rolling around not doing much of anything as far as the public can tell for six years.
Grandparent is right, these things were way overbuilt.
Except that the two scenarios aren't mutually exclusive- we should have continued to send more robots over there while having the robots last longer than we ever expected.
show some fucking discretion, and stop telling people you block ads. its nothing to be proud of, and you are obviously so very fucking proud of your smug smarmy self
Show me some disretion and let me be able to browse the internet on my 1.3Ghz G4 processor without locking up the system. Why should I have to purchase a new computer just to check the news and email?
Some concepts of privacy, that we thought were rights, are going to have to give way as we find out that social networks are just a lot more efficient, and monitoring and digital ubiquity are all more efficient ways to enforce laws, for example. That's a big thing in Britain. I mean God only knows how many cameras they have on their streets. And they're using it in ways to fight crime that, frankly, I don't think is yet possible in the U.S. because of our privacy concerns.
Next time Carmen provides an example, she may want to pick one that actually has a track record which supports her views.
On PS3 system models sold earlier than the CECH-2000 series models, the Open Platform feature will not be available if the system software is updated to version 3.21 or later
followed up by:
To use the Linux operating system, you must update the PS3 system software to version 1.60 or later.
Now if we could only find out where to download any versions between 1.60 and 3.21 for CECH-2000 models....
Just because you don't use the product as it was advertised doesn't mean that what Sony did is legal or morally responsible. They touted the feature of Other OS as one of the main benefits of getting a PS3 instead of XBox360 or Wii. This goes beyond the typical embellishments that occur during marketing. They explicitly offered a product which can do X, Y, and Z. Post upgrade, the product can only do X & Y, or Z.
Again, Sony made an explicit and material effort to sell the PS3 with the combination of BluRay player and Other OS feature. Afterwards, Sony forces consumers to choose between the two features, thus no combination.
If you watch all the shows on Hulu instead of when they're broadcasted OTA, it all works out the same (you wait a week since the last episode.) The only difference may be when your coworkers start talking about the latest episode 6 days before you can watch it, but I figure it's a small price to pay.
I have a wife, and she is the opposite of a hoarder: she's a compulsive thrower-outer. If you can't justify its existence, it's gone.
Possible replies:
1. Make a list of all her clothes and shoes and when she wears any of them. If she ever wants to throw something away, tell her she hasn't used clothes/shoes x in y days and that therefore she should throw those out.
Why? Just to give her another excuse to buy more clothes?
Why we insist on feeding 75% of our grain production to ruminants baffles me.

Could it have anything to do with major dairy states (e.g. Wisconsin) not having year-long growing seasons due to being covered with snow for significant portions of the year?

Or you can go to a bar and watch the game there, with people....
Didn't the Prius get something like 13mpg on the track, whilst the M3 got 20something under the same conditions (driving at same speed)?
If not, no thanks
There should be enough space for 1-way communication (e.g. Command sending coordinates, descriptions of targets, orders, etc)

Now back to you, Jim!
That sounds like a major failure. What do they expect the users to do, reformat their computers using FAT32?

Screw 12-cores, we're turning this up to 11-...er, nothing to see here....
Disposable is the wrong term but I can not think of the a better term.
I think the word you are trying to find is "Consumable"

We do? Where?

Moreover, the disk is indeed "floppy" once you remove it from its plastic casing.
Oh, and the one that hit the other guy in the face with the foam ball should have been arrested for battery.
fixed that for you, since there is a difference between the two
See: http://www.diffen.com/difference/Assault_vs_Battery
