    This is part of a long term strategy by the rich and the super-rich to grab back the computer/Internet thing they let get away from them.

    They do NOT want people to be in charge of their own systems. They want it to be like TV where you sit and consume.

    They will patent and license to themselves and each other all the relevant algorithms with the long term goal of making open-source software illegal.

    Did you XOR is patented and IBM pays to use it?

    Free software will have to go underground. We could see people like Theo in jail.

    This is going to get a lot worst before it gets better.

    This is completely stoppable at the ISP level. I received over 1,000 SoBig.F messages, not one of which had to go through!

    I had an argument with a friend regarding the Terminator - since the robotic skeleton was the real Terminator and the flesh was like a costume, I argued you would NEVER make it look like Ahnold, as he looks dangerous and would alert guards and such.

    You'd make it look like Wally Cox or Dom De loiuse, although 'The Terminator, starring Dom De louise' probably wouldn't have done as well at the box Office.

    Perhaps the closest was William Gibson, who created a vat-grown assassin who could dodge shotgun fire and appeared to be a fat Japanese tourist with 12 cameras.
