This is because the atmosphere of Mars is very thin and dusty, and atmospheric light scattering is dominated not by the molecules of gas (in the case of Mars, mostly carbon dioxide) but by suspended dust particles. These are larger than the wavelengths of visible light, and they are reddened by iron oxide, like Martian soil.
Considering how thin the Martian atmosphere is, if it is so thin that there is no scattering to make the sky blue, what is holding up those dust particles? After a duststorm there will be dust in the air (until it falls back to the ground), but would that even make the sky red, or a different colour again? (And yes, this is a serious question, if you want to reply to it think first - kneejerk "but obviously" answers are no answer)
Considering the data on which the global warming theory is based is statistically dubious at best, i'll treat this report as something less than gospel...
If you want security, you first come up with a secure system.
It looks like many (if not all) of the systems now in place in the US are designed to make it easy for any 'security' to be bypassed, due to poorly designed systems, lack-lustre and uneven implementations, underperforming hardware, and a generally false sense of safety due to the flaws i've just mentioned.
I'd go so far as to say that the US govt is doing more to promote fear in the population than the terrorists do, after which they erode the civil rights of the (undereducated) general population whilst claiming 'We're protecting you'.
I have this sudden mental image of a Martian H.G. Wells investigating a crater, poking a broken Beagle 2 with a stick, and coming up with a story about an invasion from the Blue planet... (Hope the first wave of Human invaders have been immunised)
I'll admit that i often look at the conspiracy sites with something not unlike amusement, but as far as the 'red skies of Mars' go, i was quite intrigued by this site.
There was worry that the Galileo spacecraft might contaminate Europa, which may have life, so it was crashed into Jupiter, which doesn't....that we know of.
I'm amazed at the ability of otherwise intelligent people (well, that's the theory) to focus on the spammers at the expense of those who're really responsible for the spam - those who pay for it to be sent.
You want to shoot the messenger? Fine. But don't forget that someone pays the messenger to send their message. Whether they are selling you something (which may or may not work), or just harvesting replies to sell to interested businesses, they are the ones to target.
Sequel? No... FPS? Yes... the only original thing about are the graphics - the rest of it is pretty much standard fare. And so painfully short to boot. But very pretty. But original? No.
I've noticed the same thing, after going back to try Icewind Dale after NWN... Icewind was fun, but i kept finding myself trying to rotate the view. "But... but... i need to see what's behind the building... [pout]"
(I still enjoy the Zelda and the rest of the 2d rpgs though - you seldom get that problem, thanks to sensible level design)
I think it's more a case of:
1. Video card manufacturers want more sales
2. Game companies give the consumers more polygons that require new video cards
3. People go 'Oooooh!' and buy pretty new game (and sometimes a new video card)
4. A day or two later people go 'And that's it?'
(You can add '5. Profit!!!' if you wish, but that's no longer funny, not even in the Soviet Union...)
Really? Even when they've spent all that money on those special random number generators that they get their forecasts from?

I have the alternate real and QT installed, but where can updates be found now the KazaaLite site (where i went for new versions) has been killed?
I wonder if Microsoft, the MPAA or the RIAA have heard of this 'supremacy of the customer' thing?
Mmmmmmm, babbling...

You're sure? Not green? (Gotta love conspiracy sites...)
To finish one particularly apt version of that phrase, '... so why aren't there more happy people?'
Hmmm, i guess it's more 'Not Yet Unsuccessful' then...
Nice to hear 'Mars' and 'Successful' in the same post for a change...
But you can usually use amusing conspiracies as nut finders...

But you'll look l33t while you do it...
Bigger numbers are better, aren't they? (If you can't see the sarcasm in my comment i'm not going to highlight it for you)
Something like this?
So get a Mouse Bungee...
And think of the market for expansions:
Politicians... Lawyers... Telemarketers...

Do you mean this?
