The problem is, you have to make the filesystems, compile a kernel, and emerge the graphical installer in order to use it. Oh well, there goes that idea:)
I've been playing Blizzard games since Warcraft I (PC) and Blackthorne (SNES). I haven't played them all, but I can't think of a single "bad" game they've ever released. Flawed or unbalanced gameplay, sure. That's bound to happen in multiplayer games. Blizzard puts in the time to correct the problems though, and that's what really sets them apart (sad comment, I know).
Are you trying to say that people here have no right to demand a high standard of living, becuase people elsewhere will work for less ? EA brings in billions of dollars a year. A tiny fraction of that would allow their projects to have reasonable schedules, and give their employees something resembling normal lives. Are you saying it is unjust to ask for this ? Or that it is somehow not possible ? Maybe EA is just greedy and doesn't respect their employees, like a whole shit load of other companies these days.
Well who am I to argue. I think the savings in infrastructure and
operating costs, coupled with the convenience of a smaller system (later, when you want to upgrade it) are worth a good premium. But hey, if you have cheap land and resources and no qualms about using them inefficiently, then I concede. SUV's are great for grocery shopping too, so long as the price of gas is cheap.
Maybe you are building a shitty warehouse then ? You know, supercomputer rooms actually have special requirements. Things like temperature and humidity control. You can't just stick these things in a barn full of chicken shit and have them work properly. Large, inefficient designs (for buildings and for computers) increase the costs for EVERYTHING, including actually running your supercomputer. Some of us city folk know these things.
What is the compiler flag for that ? -O4 ?
At the same time, portage has bloated to 100,000 files and it takes 20 times as long to update the caches. I miss the "small" Gentoo.

The point of this is to cordon off areas of Mars where McDonalds can't put billboards.
If the collateral damage goes up exponentially, then the source of the problem is whatever is causing collateral damage!

Odd, "EA Researcher" was nowhere to be found. Oh that's right, they don't have any. They're just an assembly line now.
hmm, lets see. Cook at 250 degrees for 3 hours. Well, damn, if I set it to 500 degrees it should be done in 90 minutes!

What if someone shoots at the attendant ?!
Ha! Google itself is #4 on MSN's results.
The first mod I would do is change the name to something other than "Xboxen".
It's not like there's a story here worth commenting on. I'm killing time. And don't talk to me about getting laid, because you don't know shit.
The extra 3 billion pages are probably link farms.
I beat you by 7 minutes, with first post, and was modded redundant for essentially the same comment.
Yeah, the first fucking post is redundant - morons. If you want redundant, try the title.
In case of slashdotting use this mirror.
If you shoot yourself, will your blog readers know ? I mean, it's kindof like the tree in the forest thing.
In related news, the sun has set for today and will rise again tomorrow. The web is growing. Google is indexing it. It isn't news, it's a factoid.
I'm sorry, and this is news how ?

Of course, if you email stuff to your own Gmail account they will store 1 GB, and you can search it too. Duh.
You just don't get the new America do you ?
Someone has to mod this post through the fucking roof. This is an important aspect of the battle against spam, and very few people "get it".
