Well where i live, they use both... most of the time is a matter of price and availability of materials... in fact the population got the perception that asphalt tends to breakdown more easily than concrete roads ('cause we tend to use asphalt as a quick fix road solution and we dont spec it adequately to last long time...) but both are a viable solution if built well... (also keep in mind that many countries find asphalt costly than concrete)
Can anyone on/. see that we need a standard format for ebooks other than txt? Hey... out there are pleople trying to make a living writting, and releasing their work on a txt doesn't cut it (well maybe if you want to be the bitch of kazaa, edonkey, or every p2p out there)... Maybe there is an automatic hate for DRM here (ms style) but look at the sucess of DRM on openning markets of music that wouldn't have the chance to get known (Apple and his future arragement with small labels)... DRM is not bad per se... is the implementation of it (look at itunes for an example...)
I will play devil advocate here. I hate USA (Bush) policy as everybody else but... Peace is not a virtue of humanity... and history is full of example of nations that believed themselves untouchable by any enemy, defeated years later because of their "peaceful" thinking (and stalling of their armies)...
(maybe time has changed... maybe we don't want to kill our neighbors anymore... but all seems that we are in a frigging self-destructive world as always...)
Well hmmm... Panama got a democratic goverment after the usa invasion... maybe it wasn't justified... it wasn't right... but we got a democratic goverment after that... so democratic that the party in charge of the dictatorship won the elections 5 years afterward... and then, they conceded defeat to he opposition on the next election... so... (ok we got corruption... and a lot of problems... but who doesn't?!...)
I will burn some karma... After watching xmen2 (excellent movie)... and the trailers of matrix reloaded on the same day, i dont see how matrix reloaded would live up the impressive amount of expectation of the fan base. The story seems weak, the effects doesnt look groundbreaking... ok i will see it when is out, but i dont expect to be the mother-of-all-sci-movies...
Well, i got a bjc4300 and i still alive and kickin' (the only time it needed cleaning was from a dead roach inside and a raisin on the paper feeder)
Canon is the brand for cheap ink, and printers...
Maybe, you need an erection to read the comment correctly... have you tried viagra?!? "... case insensitive file system..." "All paths will be lower-case on a case-sensitive file system. As shown otherwise"
How much we have to wait for manufacturers to adopts these RFID tags for stopping the consumers to use unauthorized cartridge on razors/printers/celulars.. whatever?!? maybe that is why gillete wants them...
maybe the linux world doesnt get it, its not the unified gui... is that things WORKS! and with a nice gui... if to do my job on windows i got to scratch my balls because of a gui standard, but it worked in almost every application... i will be scratching my balls everytime just fine!... On linux (on gnome, kde, whatever) prima donas of programming seems to make an effort to make an ass of a gui... and not to follow the rules of the gui on their same desktops... it just make me sick...
I am on of the windows administrators that have been waiting for these change to happen since win2k. How many apps after the release of these operating system insist in writting user files on the program files dir. USE THE @#$% APPLICATION DATA / LOCAL SETTINGS dirs. Almost every app on win doesnt follow these SIMPLY RULES! And then they bother ms because programs cannot migrate easy, or doesnt got protection, roaming profiles doesnt work.. etc etc etc... MS got to make the windows application compatibility toolkit to get the programs working the way they should but is a hack prone to errors... PROGRAMERS DO YOUR JOB AND READ MS SPECS... THEY ARE FREE AND ARE DISCLOSED!!!!
Yeap... to take out a dictator imposed by the us government, ex cia agent, when he was no useful and arrogant. Also if the only purpose of the operation was to take out Noriega, a good sniper was a better option instead of ordering the death of us troops and Panamanian citizens in the invasion. The number of deaths in this invasion was reduced by the us government and us media to make the use of force like a child game. The real reason for the Noriega crisis was to take out the Panamanian army and to reduce the power of the many banks on this country. (by means of economic sanctions and the blockage of Americans dollars to panama 3 years before the invasion, panama use us dollars for its currency). The us troops are gone complying with the Panama Canal Treaty after 2000 and the canal is in possession of panama. But we got no army to defend it so this is the trick, if the panama canal is in danger, us has the right to invaded here to "protect" its interests and to stay here again until there is no danger, that is a clause on the treaty. Add to this Colombian Guerrilla on our borders, Chinese Government investing on panama, Bush on government, and insert your favorite conspiracy theory and we will be in another international crisis real soon. By the way, i am a Panamanian so excuse my poor English. (Why its so hard for English speaking people to confuse then and than?! wtf)
In most ms windows apps the special cases when you only want info, or a different format on the cut and paste is resolved by the paste special command... look at coreldraw, excel, word, almost every important program got that menu. Sorry if i am too picky at this one, but if a desktop dont let me cut and paste correctly between apps... it's not usable... so kde, gnome you got a long way to go

For the first time since gnutella is out i can use a program for it without running away with my eyes in pain by a bad interface. Shareaza.
