  1. Re:Interesting.. on Games Already Filling Blu-Ray Discs · · Score: 1

I drive on a 'free' road into work all the time. It takes me 15min tops to get to work. If I speed I can get there in 8. I live in BFE and work in a different BFE. City life isn't necessary by any stretch of the imagination. I know plenty of programmers, television people, etc, that chose against big city life and have made quite a living for themselves in small towns. Granted, most of us go to the 'big city' (not that big) for major shopping and movies. But that's luxury and can afford to be taxed more. My point is... I have no point. Carry on.

Funny, because my family business used a single spreadsheet in Lotus 1-2-3 for the entirety of their bookkeeping/billing/invoicing. It worked for about 10-15 years, up until we started having more than 4 orders a week (we dealt mainly with bulk shipments until recently, when we've moved more into retail).

Have you just not read or seen anything about this game? At the later stages, you still are the same thing you started as, just better. All your decisions up to your current stage have made a difference. That's like wondering why RPGs don't just start at Level 20. Seriously, was that orc that you killed at Level 1 all that important in the grand scheme?

Has anyone see that they actually managed to bloat and screw up MINESWEEPER?! The simplest of all games, and they've screwed it up past the point of playability. If you upgrade and are a minesweeper fan, make sure you bring over your copy of winmine.exe (if it runs, I haven't tried it).

The problem is also that Tivo (last time I looked) doesn't work without a landline phone. That screws over everyone that's trying to move over to mobile phones (like myself). So I'm thoroughly not impressed.

Yes, but as they sound to whom? Whose dialect should be chosen as THE dialect for determining the phonetic spelling of words? Yours? Mine? That's quite a decision to make for the whole of English speakers.

You forget that doctors keep adding more and more things under the blanket description of "Autism". If you add more and more symptoms to a 'disease', chances are you're going to see more and more people diagnosed with said 'disease'. Not to mention the children out there who are uncontrollable or socially lacking because of bad parenting but whose parents take the child to doctor upon doctor until one decides the kid is "autistic" and waives the parents' responsibilityby prescribing some bullshit medication.

So..we can't weather them. Still doesn't make it our fault for them happening. Maybe we should try to stop earthquakes next. They cause too much damage. Environmentalists say they want us to stop affecting the earth (or some other such nonsense) but then when confronted with the fact that ice ages are cyclical, say we should do everything in our power to stop it from happening. Let the earth do what it wants to do, for cryin out loud.
